The Role

As a Senior Insurance Technician, you will be an integral part of an Operating Entity, providing crucial administrative and technical support to the Financial and Risk Adviser team. Your role is pivotal in ensuring the smooth operation of our business processes, enabling account handlers to focus on client relationships and strategic objectives.

You will join a dedicated team of support professionals, each specialising in Professional Indemnity Insurance, allowing you to develop deep expertise in this area. Your responsibilities will include the preparation and management of documentation, data entry, and compliance with company and group policies, ensuring that all tasks are implemented with precision and in a timely manner.

What you’ll do…

  • Provide accurate and timely MI to the management team as needed.

  • Credit Control / Aged Debt monitoring responsibility.

  • Client Due Diligence and Sanctions screening.

  • Assist in the preparation of detailed client and broking documentation, ensuring accuracy and compliance.

  • Handle incoming enquiries from team members, clients, insurers, and third parties, ensuring a professional and timely response.

  • Interpret and implement instructions and issues in line with company policies and procedures.

  • Consistently meet agreed performance targets and deadlines.

  • Lead assigned projects and supply to other team projects as the need arises, ensuring successful completion.

  • Collaborate with team members to set and prioritise key objectives, optimally leading workload to ensure both personal and team goals are met.

  • Stay informed of regulatory and legal changes that impact the role, ensuring compliance.

  • Maintain up-to-date and accurate records on the company's systems at all times.

  • Respond promptly and appropriately to urgent issues as they arise, providing effective solutions.

  • Build and maintain positive relationships with Business Units, encouraging teamwork.

  • Handle policy renewals and mid-term adjustments as required, delivering high-quality service.

  • Share valuable information that could benefit our Financial Lines Group.

  • Perform technical duties, including data entry, slips, quotes, indications, and endorsements efficiently when required, maintaining high standards of accuracy.

  • Remain up to date with industry, legal, and regulatory developments to ensure high standards of practice and output.

Who we're looking for

  • Proficient in IT skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

  • Strong interpersonal skills - confident and able to create a positive impression

  • Capable of undertaking and demonstrating competence in technical training as required by industry regulations.

  • Prioritisation and organisational skills

  • Self-motivated and proactive

  • Develop your expertise on Professional Indemnity Insurance.

  • Prior experience in insurance is preferred.

  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to produce accurate and well-documented work.

  • Ability to work optimally within a team and provide mentorship to less expert colleagues.
