Senior Technical Specialist

We’re looking for a Senior Technical Specialist to join our Global Technology team at MBPS. In this role, you will play a key, dynamic role in modernizing our customer interactions, helping to integrate analytics, business intelligence and AI into our decisions while providing actionable insights to stakeholders across the business.

Position Responsibilities: 

  • Works with the Global Compliance team throughout the Software Development Life Cycle to ensure software is functioning at peak performance
  • Integrate and/or develop new solutions and maintain existing ones
  • Deliver regular reporting on initiatives, program progress, and key areas of risk
  • Identify, propose, and acquire toolsets to assist with the process enhancements with emphasis on straight through processing of new business applications in an Agile and DevOps environment
  • Experiment with emerging technologies and understand how they will impact what comes next
  • Responsible for monitoring, analyzing, and optimizing software architectures
  • Maintain software environments to best support testing and deployment under continuous integration/continuous delivery
  • Takes ownership of operational & support (Application & Platform) activities when required
  • Amenable to work UP Ayala Technohub (Quezon City)
  • Amenable to work on a hybrid set-up (3x a week onsite)
  • Amenable to work in night shift schedule (at times, flexibility required on business need)

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or any related course
  • Adaptability to learn unfamiliar technologies on the go
  • Proficient in Microsoft Power Platform — Power Automate (workflow automation) and Power Apps (canvas and model-driven apps).
  • Intermediate to expert on Relational Database Management System concepts and administration: SQL Server
  • Experience working on or closely with customers, vendors and development teams in the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) using DevOps, Agile and/or waterfall methodologies
  • Ability to manage, prioritize multiple work streams in a time sensitive environment
  • Strategic thinker focused on digital enhancements, AI, and the customer
  • Nice to have: Basic to Intermediate on the following languages: Unix & PowerShell Scripting, Python, C#, C#.NET

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Effective English verbal and written communication skills. Should be able to adapt communication style to suit different audiences
  • Can translate a more complex technical problem into business terms
  • Strong application development/programming skills
  • Solution design mindset - Ability to constructively challenge business requirements, technical requirements and any other direction that is received, to ensure we are building the BEST solution
  • Work well independently as well as in team environment as situation dictates
