Our location in Abbott Park (Lake Bluff), IL currently has an opportunity for a Senior Technical Project Manager. Provides scientific expertise throughout the transfer and implementation of new processes, manufacturing, testing into operations. Writes/manages clinical evaluation plans or clinical trial protocols, protocol amendments, risk master lists, clinical study project timelines, clinical evaluations (plans and reports), clinical trial registrations and results postings, and scientific publications. Interacts with various support groups and cross-functional teams in order to assist in operations strategy, the development of plans and reports, and project deliverables. Uses scientific and operational process knowledge in order to provide directives to team and R&D teams.
What You’ll Work On
Facilitates communication between R&D, Manufacturing Operations, Testing Groups, Change Management, Regulatory Affairs, Validations, Engineering, Supplier Quality, Purchasing/Procurement.
Conducts team meetings, drafting and sending routine correspondence and by presenting regular updates to senior staff.
Creates, manages, or participates in project timelines, and budgets by utilizing the appropriate project management tools.
Facilitates regulatory submissions and communications completing required deliverables throughout the submission process.
Writes/advises on DMR authoring (including Manufacturing Formulas, testing document, purchased material documents), conducts manufacturing packet reviews, development/feasibility manufacturing coordination, supports risk management deliverables, change management submissions, Design Plan deliverables.
Participates in and supports audits.
Interfaces with management on significant matters, often requiring the coordination of activity across organizational units.
May participate in a project team.
Acts as a mentor to less-experienced staff and may provide work direction or supervise other technical employees.
Exercises judgment independently.
Plans and organizes project assignments of substantial variety and complexity.
Erroneous decisions or recommendations would typically result in failure to achieve major organizational objectives.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in a scientific discipline OR an equivalent combination of education and work experience
Minimum 5 years related work experience with a substantial understanding of specified functional area
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in the sciences, medicine, statistics, or related discipline or M.S. Degree or Advanced degree preferred. (Advanced degree(s) may offset required years of experience)
Comprehensive knowledge of a particular technological field. Is recognized as a resource in work group and across functions
Broad knowledge of various technical alternatives and their potential impact on the business.

The base pay for this position is
$99,300.00 – $198,700.00In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
