About Salesforce
Salesforce is the #1 AI CRM, where humans with agents drive customer success together. Here, ambition meets action. Tech meets trust. And innovation isn’t a buzzword — it’s a way of life. The world of work as we know it is changing and we're looking for Trailblazers who are passionate about bettering business and the world through AI, driving innovation, and keeping Salesforce's core values at the heart of it all.
Ready to level-up your career at the company leading workforce transformation in the agentic era? You’re in the right place! Agentforce is the future of AI, and you are the future of Salesforce.
The Technology Program Management team works across our Cloud Business Units driving programs that deliver innovative, enterprise cloud solutions. We are the Grease, Glue, Coach & Cop that create delighted users, thriving teams, and innovation everywhere.
In this role, you will power Missionforce: our dedicated initiative to deliver private-sector speed and Silicon Valley innovation to the public sector. We believe that those serving the public deserve the world’s best technology. As a Sr. TPM, you will lead the full life-cycle of application features—from discovery and architectural design through deployment and post-launch performance monitoring to enable governments to move faster, scale smarter, and deliver critical services to citizens with the agility of a modern enterprise.
About You
- Loves to wear multiple hats—balancing technical depth with program leadership.
- Keen reader of people and culture; builds the relationships to make things happen.
- Highly functional in an energizing, fast-paced software environment.
- Comfortable bending between the tactical (sprint health) and the strategic (multi-quarter roadmaps).
- Outstanding executive presence and a "Think Customer" mindset.
Your Impact (Responsibilities)
- Ceremony Leadership: Own the core execution engine by facilitating high-impact ceremonies: Sprint Reviews, Solution Overviews, and Release Planning. You are responsible for optimizing the end-to-end delivery flow to increase team velocity.
- Operational Reporting: Drive the WRoR (Weekly Report of Record) and Steering Committee meetings. You must "peer around corners," identifying technical risks—such as technical debt or architectural bottlenecks—before they impact the roadmap.
- Operational Health: Own the feedback loop between production and development. Facilitate Support Readouts that leverage application telemetry and reliability data to ensure we are delivering a high-quality user experience.
- Engineering Excellence (DevEx): Partner with engineering leads to remove friction in the developer experience. You act as both a shield and an accelerator, ensuring the team remains focused on high-value engineering work.
- Cross-Functional Orchestration: Lead complex dependencies across UX, Product, and Security. Ensure "Definition of Ready" and "Definition of Done" are strictly enforced to maintain SaaS compliance and quality standards.
- Strategic Alignment: Partner with Product Owners and Engineering Leads to translate business goals into execution strategies, ensuring technical subjects and technologies are mastered and aligned with the vision.
Required Skills & Experience
- 7+ years of technical program management experience at an enterprise technology company.
- 5+ years of experience leading SaaS product development programs with a deep understanding of the full software development lifecycle (SDLC).
- Deep Architectural Knowledge: Strong understanding of modern architectural patterns, such as Microservices and API-first design.
- Metric-Oriented Leadership: Proven ability to use delivery data (e.g., cycle time, deployment frequency, and error rates) to provide a transparent view of team performance and drive continuous improvement.
- Mastery of Technical Subjects: Ability to actively participate in architectural trade-off discussions and technical design reviews.
- AI/ML Exposure: Familiarity with deploying AI-driven features or managing AI/ML platform integrations.
- Public Sector/Cloud: Experience delivering services within highly regulated or government cloud environments.
- Portfolio Management: Experience managing multiple related projects as a cohesive program to achieve strategic objectives.
- Executive Communication: Ability to establish immediate credibility with senior executives and technical team members alike; expert at driving consensus across a matrixed environment.
Technical Degree: B.S. in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field is required.
