About the Role

In this opportunity as Senior Systems Analyst, you will: 


The Sr. Systems Analyst acts as a liaison among business stakeholders, facilitating smooth transitions in mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures. This role involves gathering, analyzing, communicating, and validating business requirements, and translating them into precise technical specifications. The analyst drives early discovery and requirement shaping phases to map current and target states, identifying gaps to create clear requirements for architectural design. They ensure that business value is realized in the target processes and maintain communication throughout the project.

  • Responsible for the elicitation, analysis, and documentation of business needs and requirements, with a focus on mergers and acquisitions.
  • Conducts early discovery sessions to map current state and target state, identifying gaps and developing clear requirements to support architectural design.
  • Ensures cross-program consistency, aligning global design and CPSP (Common Product and Service Platform) standards.
  • Manages the resolution of design and requirement conflicts between teams, ensuring cohesive solutions.
  • Drives key business design decision discussions across C2C (Customer to Customer), segments, and product owners.
  • Serves as a key communicator who explains the origin and business value of processes, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.
  • Develops and improves business processes within the technology and business organizations, ensuring clarity and precision in requirements.
  • Translates complex business requirements into technical solutions, making recommendations based on their impact on the business and stakeholders.
  • Builds and maintains strong relationships with customers, ensuring that implementation follows design specifications.
  • Creates key deliverables, including detailed requirements, identified gaps, process maps, and stakeholder lists.
  • Proactively identifies, recommends, and implements process improvements, enhancing the efficiency of achieving the target state.
  • Develops an in-depth awareness and understanding of multiple Thomson Reuters technologies, products, and services, contributing to strategic planning sessions..

About You

You’re a fit for the role if your background includes:

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant discipline required; Master’s of higher degree preferred
  • 6+ years of relevant experience, including management consulting, business analysis, business architecture, process mapping
  • Strong understanding of business processes, systems, and data flow
  • Experience leading complex projects involving multiple internal stakeholders across functional areas
  • Ability to act as liaison between business and IT to convey needs of the business to IT and map opportunities to requirements.
  • Ability to recognize structural issues within the organization, functional interdependencies, cross-silo redundancies, and product complexities.
  • Structured and critical thinking to deal with ambiguity and always challenge the status quo
  • Comfortable in taking initiative and driving improvements independently
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Confident in facilitating workshops with diverse groups of stakeholders
  • Proven track record of collaborating across teams and organizations
  • Strong communication skills and ability to create executive-level presentations
  • Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams
  • Strong interest in M&A and business design
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
  • Collaborative and team-focused, with a willingness to take initiative
  • Energetic, with drive, enthusiasm, and natural skills in relationship development
  • Experience working in a large software or business information company is a plus.
