(Senior) System Analyst - Associate - Post-Trade Systems - IT

Job Summary:

IT Post-Trade Systems is responsible for the design, implementation, and support of HKEX post‑trade systems. The successful candidate will join a team responsible for common services development, covering areas such as data warehousing and dashboarding, file transfer, identity management, web forms, and front‑end portal services.

Job Duties:

As a (Senior) System Analyst – Associate, the candidate will contribute to the design, development, integration, and support of enterprise applications and data processing platforms. The role requires hands-on experience in Java, SQL, scripting, and exposure to Cloud, Terraform, Helm Chart, ETL, with the ability to work independently on well‑defined tasks and collaborate effectively in team projects.

Job Responsibilities:

• Responsible for system design and implementation with high-quality standards throughout the SDLC.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement new system features.

• Design and implement applications following HKEX technology standards with adequate unit test and test case coverage.

• Maintain comprehensive documentation including technical specifications, deployment procedures, and contingency procedures.

• Troubleshoot issues identified during system integration testing, business UAT, and regression testing in a timely manner.

• Ensure applications meet all necessary architecture, security, infrastructure, and performance requirements.

• Explore new technologies, participate in POCs, and evaluate tools to support new initiatives.

• Provide ongoing production support and handle BAU tasks as required.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor degree in computer science or related field, with minimum 3 years of relevant work experience.

• Familiar with SQL and relational databases, Scripting (Shell / Python), and dashboarding. 

• Familiar with ETL processes or batch/data workflows.

• Familiar with DevOps life cycles and tools (e.g. Git, Junit, Ansible, Helm, etc.)

• Experience in Microservices, Container, and REST API development

• Experience in Web front-end development using React JS or other HTML5 technologies

• Experience in application security (OAuth2, API security, encryption & signing etc.) a plus

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
