 Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly experienced Jira Administrator to manage and optimize our Jira Cloud environment end-to-end. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in supporting our Engineering and Project Management teams, ensuring Jira is aligned to our operational workflows and strategic objectives. This position will also focus on post-migration enhancements and ongoing configuration improvements.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary Jira Administrator handling full lifecycle administration and support.
  • Perform Jira Cloud configuration and customization including:
    • Workflows, schemes, custom fields, permissions
    • Issue types, automation rules, notification schemes
    • Boards, dashboards, filters, project templates
  • Work closely with Engineering, Product, and Project Management teams to understand requirements and translate them into effective Jira solutions.
  • Manage Jira post-migration enhancements and troubleshooting as needed.
  • Integrate Jira with other tools such as Confluence and marketplace apps.
  • Maintain user roles, access control, governance, and best practices.
  • Perform data analysis, reporting, and Jira cleanup activities to optimize performance.
  • Ensure adherence to compliance, security controls, and established process standards.
  • Provide Jira training, guidance, and documentation for internal stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5+ years hands-on experience as Jira Administrator.
  • Strong expertise with Jira Cloud (configuration, customization, automation).
  • Experience supporting Agile/DevOps teams (Scrum, Kanban frameworks).
  • Knowledge of Jira post-migration support and troubleshooting.
  • Understanding of integrations with Confluence, Bitbucket, or similar tools.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to independently manage priorities and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
