Job Description


We are seeking a Business Intelligence (BI) Developer with deep expertise in Tableau to design, develop, and maintain high-impact dashboards, analytics products, and reporting solutions that support decision-making across the Commercial Real Estate (CRE) business. This role will be responsible for transforming complex, fragmented datasets into intuitive, reliable, and actionable visual insights used by executives, brokers, and operational teams.

The ideal candidate is highly analytical, detail oriented, and passionate about building scalable BI solutions. They are comfortable working with business stakeholders to understand requirements, translating them into meaningful data models and visualizations, and ensuring ongoing data accuracy and performance. Commercial real estate experience is a plus but not required.



Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and optimize Tableau dashboards, workbooks, and data visualizations for business stakeholders
  • Build scalable and efficient data models, data sources, and extracts to support BI products
  • Translate business requirements into technical specifications, dashboard prototypes, and reporting solutions
  • Write advanced SQL queries to extract, transform, and prepare data from relational databases
  • Work with data stored in data lakes, SQL Server, Salesforce, and other CRE data systems
  • Ensure dashboards and data sources are performing well through tuning, automation, and extract optimization
  • Implement data validation, quality checks, and documentation for transparency and trust
  • Collaborate closely with data engineering, data science, product, and business teams to align on data definitions and standards
  • Provide ongoing enhancements, maintenance, and troubleshooting of BI solutions
  • Support self-service BI enablement by publishing certified data sources and guiding business users
  • Maintain version control and follow best practices for dashboard lifecycle management



Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Data Analytics, Computer Science, Business, or a related field
  • 3+ years of experience as a BI developer, reporting analyst, or data visualization specialist

Expert-level proficiency in Tableau, including:

  • dashboard design and UI/UX best practices
  • LOD expressions, parameters, and complex calculations
  • data source design and optimization
  • Strong SQL skills for data manipulation and query development
  • Experience working with relational databases and data warehouse/lake environments
  • Ability to translate business needs into technical solutions with minimal guidance
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Clear communication skills, including the ability to explain dashboards and metrics to nontechnical use


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with commercial real estate, financial, or operational datasets
  • Familiarity with Salesforce data models and CRM reporting
  • Experience with ETL processes, data modeling, or semantic layer design
  • Knowledge of Tableau Server or Tableau Cloud administration (publishing, permissions, schedules)
  • Experience working with imperfect or incomplete datasets and improving data quality over time
  • Exposure to other BI tools such as Power BI, ThoughtSpot, or Sigma (nice to have)
  • Understanding of cloud environments (Azure, AWS, GCP) or modern data pipelines
