JOB DESCRIPTION:
Key Accountabilities
- Owns and leads the end-to-end demand planning process, delivering an accurate, aligned, and approved consensus forecast across planning horizons.
- Estimates future demand by analyzing market drivers, customer signals, historical trends, and business assumptions to support category, channel, and enterprise decision-making.
- Leads demand review and S&OP/IBP forums, aligning stakeholders on forecast assumptions, risks, and opportunities.
- Monitors forecast accuracy, bias, variability, and demand signals; proactively identifies risks and recommends forecast adjustments and mitigation actions.
- Translates commercial inputs, promotions, lifecycle changes, and market intelligence into actionable demand plans for finished goods and sub-assemblies.
- Ensures integrity and ongoing maintenance of demand-related master data, hierarchies, and planning parameters within planning systems.
- Tracks, analyzes, and communicates key planning and service metrics, including backorders and On-Time In-Full (OTIF) performance, to support issue resolution and continuous improvement.
- Leads and supports cross-functional projects, including ramp-up and ramp-down initiatives, new product introductions, lifecycle transitions, and supply network changes, ensuring demand plans, assumptions, milestones, timing, and execution alignment across stakeholders.
- Acts as a primary supply chain liaison to Commercial, Sales, Finance, and Program Management teams to ensure demand plans reflect customer commitments and business priorities.
- Partners with Global Business Services (GBS) and RDIL (Ireland) across demand planning, customer service, and purchasing functions to ensure alignment on demand assumptions, supply commitments, transactional execution, and issue resolution.
- Identifies and escalates demand-related risks and opportunities, providing scenario planning and quantified impacts to service, inventory, and revenue.
- Supports customs and trade-related issues by facilitating resolution of import, clearance, and cross-border challenges in coordination with internal stakeholders and external partners.
- Drives continuous improvement of demand planning processes, tools, and governance across multiple product families or value streams.
- Performs additional planning, analytical, and project-based responsibilities as required to support evolving business priorities and customer needs.
Your Experience, Education, and Knowledge
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Analytics, or related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
- 5+ years of progressive experience in demand planning, forecasting, or S&OP/IBP, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong experience working in SAP or comparable ERP/planning systems.
- 3+ years of experience working with forecasting, planning, and data analysis tools.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze complex datasets and translate insights into business recommendations.
- Proven ability to work effectively in a highly matrixed, geographically diverse environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to influence at multiple organizational levels.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, changing environment.
- Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and follow-through.
- Ability to maintain regular and predictable attendance.
Preferred Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in a medical device or other regulated manufacturing environment.
- Experience working within an enterprise or multi-division business model.
- Other demand planning or supply chain certification (CPIM, CSCP, CPF, etc).
- Experience supporting or leading S&OP / Integrated Business Planning (IBP) processes.
