On-site role in Kansas City, Missouri

The Senior Supervisor, Clinical Review position is part of our Rapid Diagnostics business. This role is responsible for hiring, training, and providing direction to a team of 15–20 Occupational Health Services (OHS) staff members performing clinical and MRO review. Additionally, the Senior Supervisor will develop and monitor KPIs, ensure productivity, and maintain compliance with all regulatory requirements.

What You’ll Do

  • Ensures the use of standardized and consistent Occupational Health Services clinical review and general client processes
  • Act as subject matter expert in the following medical field(s) and areas of expertise; Occupational Health Service standards and delivery to include all current OHS standard services, applicable OSHA regulations, applicable CDC recommendations, DOT/FMCSA medical examination regulations and recommendations, Preventive Health and Wellness service delivery
  • Evaluate trends in Turn-Around Time (TAT), cancellation rates, no-show rates, and incomplete event follow-up with ability to manage through trends in order to meet service level expectations; and provides reporting as needed to run the department.
  • Perform all managerial duties including (but not limited to) staff hiring, training, project management, goal tracking, performance review, career development, and daily supervision over designated department personnel.
  • Responsible for monitoring team members’ completion of assigned daily work and associated turnaround time for work performed.
  • Serve as primary contact for escalation of any issues to be addressed. Responsible for ensuring resolution of escalated issues, with communication to client.  Escalate all unresolved issues to supervisor.
  • Responsible for client and department specific weekly/monthly reporting as assigned by supervisor.
  • Exceptional organizational, planning and project management skills.
  • Coordinate with Workforce Management team to review volumes, skill sets and schedules to efficiently process customer requests and optimize staffing.
  • Knowledgeable in all aspects of drug testing regulatory requirements.
  • Partner with internal leaders to develop training, outline job duties and create SOPs.
  • Demonstrates effective change leadership.
  • Track key metrics and SLAs and develop plan of improvement for any metrics that consistently are missing the target.
  • Ensure that departmental and individual Performance, Quality, Financial and Service Levels are met.
  • Keeps the organization’s vision and values at the forefront of decision making and action.
  • Establish and maintain an internal communication reporting cadence.
  • Provides constructive feedback and develops tailored growth plans to support ongoing leadership development within the organization.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in nursing or another related field.
  • Occupational nursing experience preferred.
  • Familiarity with and understanding of DOT drug testing and occupational health regulations.
  • Leadership skills with the ability to support a team in a busy and sometimes pressured environment.
  • Exceptional organizational, planning and project management skills.
  • Excellent verbal, written and communication skills.
  • Previous experience of managing and resolving customer queries in a timely manner.

Preferred

  • Completion of NRCME training preferred or within first year of employment
  • Certified Occupational Health Nurse (preferred) OR
  • Certified Nurse Case Manager (preferred)

The base pay for this position is

$75,300.00 – $150,700.00
