Te tūranga – The role
In this senior role, you’ll work closely with the RBNZ’s Board and leadership team to:
Lead organisational strategy development and ensure alignment across the Bank.
Connect strategy to delivery by working with teams to embed priorities into their work programmes.
Design and implement planning and prioritisation frameworks that enable effective resource allocation.
This role would suit a problem solver with a broad skillset who is able to think at an organisational level and tailor solutions to the environment.
As a senior member of the team, you will provide coaching and mentoring support for junior team members.

We’re looking for a strategic thinker who can see the big picture and tailor solutions to complex environments. To be successful in this role, you will have:
Experience in influencing and collaborating, identifying and engaging key audiences, and implementing strategies to achieve required decisions and actions.
The ability to convey complex concepts in a clear, concise manner using simple language or visuals.
Sound judgement and the ability to think holistically across a broad range of issues.
Knowledge and application of Te Tiriti o Waitangi principles.
You will be pragmatic and adaptable, able to think on your feet and deliver practical solutions.
In addition, the following are desirable but not essential to the role:
Familiarity with strategic frameworks and tools such as horizon scanning, insights gathering, and strategy implementation.
Experience in enterprise-wide business planning, long-term prioritisation and resource allocation.
Central banking experience, either locally or overseas.
