Meet the Team:

 The Senior Staff System Design Engineer will provide technical support for the Maximo system, focusing on the design, implementation, maintenance, and enhancement of IBM Maximo applications. This role involves collaborating with technical and functional teams, utilizing best practices, and aligning solutions with business requirements.

Where You Come In:

  • Analyze complex business problems to be solved primarily with Maximo.
  • Architect, design, develop, and support application solutions on the IBM Maximo platform.
  • Participate in all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle, including requirements gathering, design, development, testing, and deployment.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical specifications.
  • Develop and support integration interfaces with enterprise applications using Web Services, REST/SOAP, and Maximo Integration Framework capabilities.
  • Enhance Maximo with configurations, workflow processes, automation scripts, MBO customizations, and BIRT reports.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve application, interface, workflow, and reporting issues.
  • Create validation documents, test plans, and execute test cases.
  • Maintain system documentation, including design and user guides.
  • Mentor team members and continuously improve technical and professional skills.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with business and IT stakeholders.
  • Occasionally enhance Maximo by connecting it to Big Query or other data lake and create reporting in Tableau or other reporting software.
  • Occasionally create content and troubleshoot AVEVA PI issues.

What Makes You Successful:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, Science or relevant work experience.
  • 10+ years of experience with IBM Maximo implementations, configuration, and customization.
  • Strong knowledge of Maximo architecture, including Application Designer, schemas, workflow designer, and integration framework.
  • Proficiency in Python, Jython, JavaScript, SQL, and XML for automation scripts and integrations.
  • Proficiency developing complex custom BIRT reports and implementing workflow processes.
  • Familiarity with integration frameworks for enterprise applications using JSON/REST services.
  • Solid understanding of database systems (IBM DB2) and HTML.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills, with a structured and team-oriented approach. Thorough and detail oriented.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with Maximo Scheduler, Work Centers, and Maximo Application Suite 9 (MAS 9) or above.
  • Technical knowledge of Red Hat OpenShift and MAS9.x infrastructure.
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices, Cloud Native Technology,.
  • Understanding of SSO, SAML, OAUTH.
  • Knowledge of Agile/Scrum and Waterfall methodologies.

Experience and Education Requirements:

  • Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline, and a minimum of 13+ years related experience or a Master’s degree and 8+ years equivalent industry experience of a PhD and 5+ years of experience.

$149,000.00 - $248,300.00
