About the Role
As a Senior Staff Developer on our Windows endpoint security team, you will play a critical role in shaping the technical direction of our endpoint security products. You’ll drive the architecture and delivery of high-impact, performant, and secure software solutions that address real-world problems faced by IT professionals.
In this role, you will not only contribute as a hands-on technical expert but also provide strategic technical leadership across teams. You will work closely with engineering leadership, product management, and other stakeholders to define technical vision, influence long-term product direction, and ensure high standards in software design, development, and operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive the architecture and design of scalable and secure software systems across multiple components and teams.
• Act as a technical thought leader, influencing engineering decisions and best practices across the organization.
• Guide teams in solving complex, large-scale engineering challenges through deep technical expertise and systems thinking.
• Lead critical initiatives that span teams and influence organizational strategy and roadmaps.
• Mentor senior developers and help elevate technical expertise across the engineering org.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including security, infrastructure, product, and UX to deliver cohesive solutions.
• Advocate for and implement processes that improve software quality, system reliability, and operational excellence.
• Serve as a go-to expert in critical technologies and domains, offering insight and solutions for complex or ambiguous problems.
• Build and maintain a deep understanding of the security landscape, continuously assessing how our software can proactively address evolving threats.

About You
You are a seasoned software engineer with a deep technical background and a proven track record of leading the design and delivery of complex systems. You bring a strategic mindset, strong architectural instincts, and the ability to influence and guide others at all levels.
You thrive in environments that require collaboration across boundaries, and you are known for driving initiatives that improve technical health, scalability, and developer productivity.You likely have:

• Extensive hands-on experience in software development, with strong coding skills in languages like C#,Rust, C++, Go, or Python.
• Deep expertise in systems programming, distributed systems, or large-scale backend engineering.
• Demonstrated experience leading architecture and design of critical systems and driving them through to production.
• A history of mentoring senior developers, elevating team capabilities, and fostering technical growth.
• Strong cross-functional collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to influence across teams and organizational layers.
• Proven ability to identify and drive improvements in code quality, system design, and team processes.
• Experience delivering secure, reliable, and maintainable software in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, infrastructure as code, and modern DevOps practices.
• A passion for security and building products that protect users and systems from evolving threats.
