Our mission is simple: End Cyber Risk. We’re looking for a Managed Awareness Manager to be part of making this happen.


As a Managed Awareness Manager oversees and guides all development activities within the team. This individual is responsible for coordinating with teams across different geographies to ensure that all engineering projects, initiatives, and processes align with the organization's established policies and objectives. The role reports to the Director of the R&D Incident Response Team. We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Engineering Manager to lead a team of talented engineers working on a state-of-the-art project with a React.js frontend and a Go backend. The role demands a blend of technical expertise, leadership, and strategic thinking to successfully drive project execution.
 

Scope of Role


Generates and manages day to day work for team(s). Works with Product Team to define and deliver on the 6 month roadmap. Is also a key contributor to longer term planning and strategy with their Director. Responsibilities
· Lead, mentor, and manage a team of frontend and backend engineers.
· Oversee the full development cycle of scalable and high-performance applications
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, and other stakeholders, to define technical solutions and ensure alignment with business goals.
· Establish best practices for code quality, testing, and deployment.
· Drive continuous improvements in team processes, development methodologies, and engineering culture.
· Ensure timely delivery of project milestones while maintaining technical excellence.
· Drive sound architectural decisions, system design, and code reviews.
· Identify potential risks and implement mitigation strategies.
· Recruit, onboard, and develop engineering talent within the team.
· Conducts duties and responsibilities in accordance with AWN’s Information Security policies, standards, processes and controls to protect the confidentiality, integrity and availability of AWN business information.
· Must pass a criminal background check and an employment verification as a condition of employment.
Required Qualifications:
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
· Proven ability to lead teams, manage projects, and deliver high-quality software solutions.
· 10+ years of software development experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership or management role.
· Experience with modern software development methodologies, including Agile and  DevOps practices.
· Strong experience leading development using Java/Go (Golang)/ React
· Experience driving high level quality excellence at all levels
· Management-level familiarity with the AWS ecosystem, including data storage and retrieval, serverless computing, optimization and associated costs.
· Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
· Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
 

Preferred Qualifications:


· Background in performance optimization and security best practices.
· Experience managing vulnerabilities across a diverse set of dependencies
· Prior experience in security product
 

Location and Travel
· Our teams are diverse, including our geographical locations. However, our team has chosen to operate in the Indian Time Zone (GMT +5:30). The management role does require occasional check ins in other time zones.
· We operate in a hybrid model where some employees work from their home offices, others in-office, and some a combination of both. All employees within a 30 mile (48 km) radius, of an Arctic Wolf office must be present in office 3 days a week. Please ask for specific location requirements during your interview.
· Quarterly planning sessions may be conducted in-person, requiring travel to Bangalore, Karnataka, India. Ad-hoc infrequent travel (estimate 10%) may be required
