Role Overview: As the Vice President, Person will be responsible for the end-to-end ownership and strategic oversight of application management within our organization. This includes, but is not limited to: Application Management: Providing comprehensive leadership for the lifecycle of assigned applications, ensuring optimal performance, availability, and alignment with business objectives. Vendor Management: Managing relationships with key technology vendors, overseeing service level agreements, and ensuring effective collaboration to support application functionalities. Stakeholder Communication: Serving as a primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, fostering strong relationships, and effectively communicating progress, challenges, and solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Technology Leadership: Provide strategic leadership for all technology aspects within the Transfer Agency, aligning technology initiatives with business goals and market demands.
- System Architecture & Data Management: Oversee the design and implementation of system architectures, ensuring a deep understanding of foundational technologies like SQL Server for data management, ETL for data integration, and APIs for system interoperability. This technical depth will enable informed strategic decisions regarding system architecture, data flow, and integration pathways, ensuring robust and scalable solutions.
- Operational Efficiency & Innovation: Identify opportunities to leverage technology to improve operational efficiency, automate processes, and introduce innovative solutions that provide competitive advantages.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner closely with business leaders, product managers, and other technology teams to understand requirements, define solutions, and ensure successful delivery.
- Risk Management & Compliance: Ensure all technological solutions adhere to regulatory requirements, internal policies, and industry best practices for security, data privacy, and operational resilience.
- Vendor Management: Manage relationships with external technology vendors and service providers, ensuring optimal performance and cost-effectiveness.
- Budget Management: Oversee the technology budget for the Transfer Agency, ensuring responsible allocation of resources and maximizing return on investment.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
- 12+ years of progressive experience in technology leadership roles within financial services, with significant experience in a Transfer Agency, Asset Management, or related domain.
- Demonstrable expertise in foundational technologies including SQL Server, ETL processes, and API design/management.
- Proven track record of strategic planning, execution, and delivery of complex technology projects.
- Strong understanding of modern software development methodologies (Agile, DevOps).
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
- Ability to make informed strategic decisions regarding system architecture, data flow, and integration pathways.
- Proven experience in driving business growth and enhancing competitive edge through technology.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and cloud-native architectures.
- Experience in data analytics and business intelligence tools.
