Senior Speech & Language R&D Engineer

Opportunity:  We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Research Engineer to join our team in designing, developing, and maintaining the next generation AI-powered Natural Language Understanding (NLU) systems for the automotive and mobility markets. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work with cutting-edge machine learning techniques to deliver an exceptional in-car AI experience for our customers.

Daily Functions / Responsibilities:

  • Develop and improve NLU systems, including the development of new use cases and features to enhance the in-car AI experience for our customers
  • Develop LLM based data generation and data refinement methods.
  • Develop and maintain dictionaries, grammar rules, and annotations to ensure that our NLU systems meet the highest standards of performance
  • Design and implement efficient methods for defect analysis and resolution for a complex AI-powered voice assistant system

Requirements:

  • A Master's degree in Computer Science, Computational Linguistics, or a related field, or equivalent work experience
  • Strong problem solving skills with hands on software programming/scripting experience.
  • Experience with machine learning techniques and the ability to implement and adapt existing algorithms
  • Experience with RAG systems and LLM prompting practices
  • Proficiency in additional human languages is a plus, as it will enable you to work effectively with our global team and better serve our international customers
