We are seeking an Procurement Professional to support indirect sourcing including equipment and machinery sourcing for our manufacturing operations. This role plays a critical part in ensuring operational efficiency, cost effectiveness, and supply reliability by partnering closely with Engineering, Production, and Maintenance teams.
Key Responsibilities
Equipment & Machinery Procurement
- Collaborate with Production, Engineering, and related teams to define technical and commercial requirements for equipment and machinery.
- Review purchase requests and develop sourcing strategies aligned with operational needs and budget constraints.
- Prepare RFQs/RFPs and obtain competitive quotations from qualified suppliers.
Purchase Order & Delivery Management
- Evaluate suppliers based on total value including cost, quality, delivery schedule, technical fit, and site conditions.
- Issue and manage purchase orders, including changes and follow-ups.
- Monitor delivery schedules and proactively address delays, quality issues, or installation-related challenges.
Supplier Management & Development
- Manage supplier performance related to pricing, quality, delivery, and contract compliance.
- Analyze market trends and emerging technologies to identify and develop potential new suppliers.
- Build long-term, collaborative relationships with key suppliers to ensure stable supply and continuous improvement.
Inventory & Cost Management
- Monitor inventory levels for spare parts and consumables and maintain optimal stock levels.
- Analyze cost structures from a total cost perspective.
- Lead cost-saving initiatives through negotiations, alternative sourcing, and specification optimization.
Compliance & Continuous Improvement
- Ensure compliance with internal procurement policies, approval processes, and ethical standards.
- Support procurement reporting and data analysis (cost savings, supplier performance, delivery metrics).
- Contribute to procurement process and system improvements (ERP/JDE Edward experience preferred).
Qualifications
Required
- Minimum 5 years of experience in procurement with a strong understanding of end-to-end procurement processes.
- Experience handling equipment, machinery, or CAPEX-related procurement.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to deliver clear, structured, and persuasive insights to stakeholders.
- Business-level English proficiency, including commercial negotiation with global suppliers.
Preferred
- Experience in manufacturing environments such as food, meat, pharmaceutical, chemical, or FMCG industries.
- Proven experience working cross-functionally with Engineering, Maintenance, Finance, QA, or EHS teams.
- Experience driving cost-saving or strategic sourcing initiatives.
- ERP/JDE Edward or procurement system experience.
- Strong ownership mindset, problem-solving skills, and stakeholder management capability.
