Title and Summary

Senior Specialist, Product Experience Design

As part of the Product Experience Design team, you will be working alongside Product Managers, Product Owners, UX researchers and wider stakeholders to create best-in-class experiences for our enterprise software products.

Role and Responsibilities:
• Select and conduct appropriate user-centered design techniques throughout an iterative design process
• Participate in design research activities
• Implement design decisions on initiatives, heavily influenced by research findings
• Leverage design best practices and patterns when feasible; proposing and codifying new patterns when appropriate
• Produce, test, and iterate on experience artifacts, including user flows, interaction models, prototypes, wireframes, low/high fidelity sketches, and design specifications
• Study and adopt the design system to deliver digital product fully aligned with Mastercard’s design standards
• You are confident enough to present your work to the team, product managers, and other senior stakeholders


The qualified candidate:
• Experience specializing in digital product design
• Experience in UX design from concept to launch
• Experience with design thinking / human-centered design
• Demonstrated experience with Ai automation in UX and office tools (Figma make, Figma buzz, Copilot, etc)
• Some talent and ability with graphic design, ability to create clear, attractive presentations.
• Proven ability to translate vision and user feedback into actionable design
• Ability to follow a design system, a clean design aesthetic and the ability to simplify the complex
• Have a working understanding of web standards and best practice application including accessibility
• Experience of working with Designers, Product Managers, Developers, Subject Matter Experts, and Business Analysts
• Ability to approach complex problems in innovative ways
• An appetite to learn and educate
• Excellent communication skills
• Can work independently and manage your own time

Education:
• Bachelor degree or equivalent combination of experience and formal education. Specialized training/experience in User Experience Design, User Interface Design, Human factors, Usability, or Information Design strongly preferred

Preferred Qualifications:
• Product design experience in the payment, banking, or FinTech domains
• Experience in (and appreciation for) rapid prototyping and Lean UX
• Passion for working in a global, highly diverse, multicultural working environment

In line with Mastercard’s total compensation philosophy and assuming that the job will be performed in the US, the successful candidate will be offered a competitive base salary and may be eligible for an annual bonus or commissions depending on the role. The base salary offered may vary depending on multiple factors, including but not limited to location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
