Senior Specialist, Global Payment Transparency

Location: Warsaw

Hybrid model: 3 days per week from the office

The Senior Specialist, Global Payment Transparency, is responsible for the end-to-end collection, quality assurance, detailed review, analysis, and visual presentation of payment transparency data for their assigned markets. This role is instrumental in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of public transparency reporting and in supporting the organization’s compliance and reputation through expert data handling and legislative knowledge.

Key Responsibilities

The Senior Specialist is accountable for collecting relevant payment data from all necessary sources, ensuring comprehensive coverage for their designated markets. They take full ownership of the day-to-day operations required to develop payment transparency reports, including data gathering, preparation, review, and compilation of final reports for submission and publication. Data preparation is meticulous, consolidating information to be accurate, robust, and ready for in-depth analysis and ultimate reporting.

A critical responsibility is the thorough review and analysis of data. The Senior Specialist must rigorously assess each dataset to determine if the data makes sense within business and compliance parameters, assess whether the data is complete, and identify any anomalies, inconsistencies, or errors. They are responsible for correcting issues and, where needed, seeking clarification prior to report finalization. By applying analytical expertise, they ensure that all data reported accurately reflects real payments and complies with internal and external transparency standards.

Once analysis is complete, the Senior Specialist compiles the final payment transparency reports, bringing together data in a format that meets all reporting and legislative requirements. Their final output is reviewed for completeness, clarity, and regulatory alignment.

In addition to their analytical and reporting duties, the Senior Specialist creates clear, insightful visualizations and graphs as part of the data packets delivered for each market. These visualizations are crafted to support stakeholder understanding and to reveal actionable insights from the data, adhering to established standards and best practices.

The Senior Specialist is expected to be and remain an expert in the legislation and regulatory requirements governing payment transparency for their assigned markets, staying current with relevant codes, laws, or guidance and ensuring the reporting deliverables reflect these updates.

Supporting documentation for all reports, such as data dictionaries, source logs, and audit trails, is compiled and maintained by the Senior Specialist to ensure readiness for audit or regulatory inquiry.

They are also responsible for proactively escalating any challenges, data issues, or concerns, including gaps in data completeness, logic inconsistencies, or risk compliance promptly to the Sr. Manager or Director. Recognizing and elevating these findings supports both issue resolution and continuous improvement.

Additional responsibilities include recommending improvements to data collection, review, or analysis practices, participating in projects or meetings where subject matter expertise is required, and collaborating closely with GPT colleagues to provide peer review and support process optimization.

Additional Responsibilities

Senior Specialist plays a key role in knowledge sharing and ongoing process excellence. They support onboarding and training new colleagues in market-specific data and compliance requirements, recommend automation and quality control enhancements, and help improve visualization tools. Strict adherence to internal policies, particularly around data privacy and confidentiality, is a daily priority.

Success Metrics

Success in this role is demonstrated by consistently delivering accurate, complete, and timely payment transparency reports for assigned markets, rigorous and meaningful analysis and review of data, proactive escalation and resolution of challenges, production of high-quality and insightful visualizations, and maintenance of a high standard of legislative and technical expertise. Strength in process improvement, adaptability to evolving requirements, and constructive communication with team leadership are also key measures of impactful performance.
