Senior Specialist, Data Governance Technical Analyst

Role Overview
We are looking for a hands-on Senior Governance Technical Analyst to own and continuously improve our Collibra Data Governance Centre. This role is the technical backbone of our data governance program: you will maintain and optimize the catalog, implement metamodel and environment changes to align with governance policies, drive automation and operational runbooks, and lead proof-of-concepts that demonstrate Collibra’s value to new stakeholders. You will provide Collibra support for our company marketplace, Discover, and manage custom workflow integrations. You will coordinate globally with Discover, Stewardship Center and other teams to deliver consistent, scalable governance.
What will you do in this role
As part of enterprise Data Standards, Privacy & Compliance team, you will contribute to our success in the following areas:
- Provide direct Collibra platform support for the Discover marketplace, ensuring integrations, releases, and marketplace workflows operate reliably from a Collibra perspective.
- Design and implement metamodel changes and environment configurations that reflect governance policies, standards and best practices.
- Identify automation opportunities and design, develop and improve Collibra workflows and validation rules, including custom workflow integrations with Discover and other systems.
- Build and maintain metadata quality controls (validation workflows, alerts, reconciliation rules) to ensure an accurate and trusted catalog.
- Develop clear technical and end-user documentation, runbooks and training material to support platform usage and administration.
- Lead technical PoCs to evaluate and demonstrate Collibra capabilities and business value to stakeholders and prospective customers.
- Coordinate with global teams — including Discover, Stewardship Center and Collibra Platform team - to ensure consistent implementation, releases, and operational practices.
- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues affecting marketplace processes and Collibra workflows; ensure fast remediation and stable operations.
- Assess platform capabilities and provide prioritized recommendations for enhancements, integrations, and adoption strategies.
- Support audit readiness by ensuring lineage, ownership, and policy enforcement are accurately represented and verifiable.

What Should you have:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Experience with Collibra Data Governance Centre is a must have requirement.
- Collibra Ranger Certification is a welcome bonus.
- Hands-on professional who has been in the technology industry for minimum 5-7 years as a Data Engineer / Analyst.
- Deep expertise in Collibra data catalog platform, including configuration, settings maintenance & automation
- Experienced in workflow design, development, and maintenance using Collibra Workflow Designer
- In-depth knowledge of data governance principles, data stewardship processes, data quality concepts, and best practices.
- Hands-on experience in implementing and configuring Collibra Data Governance, including developing metadata ingestion, metamodels, and workflows.
- Strong experience in configuring and connecting to various data sources for metadata, data lineage, data profiling and data quality.
- Attention to detail and ability to produce high-quality technical documentation
- Experience with automation frameworks, scripting (Python, Groovy, or similar), API integrations, and platform configuration; experience building or supporting custom workflow integrations (e.g., with marketplace platforms) required.
- Good standard of professional communication and building working relationships with customers.
- Good time-management skills and ability to work independently.
- Innovative mindset, willingness to learn new areas and adapt to change.
- Critical analytical thinking and problem-solving attitude. Keen sense of urgency and customer focus.
