The position Sr. Specialist – Channel Engagement & Cross-Channel Measurement, is accountable for supporting and advancing engagement channel capabilities, including tagging, tracking, and data visualization across personal and non-personal customer engagement channels. The role is integral to delivering on our omni-channel vision, driving enhanced customer experience and engagement through data-driven insights and robust measurement practices.

The ideal candidate will bring strong, hands-on expertise in driving amplified channel engagement by tagging, tracking, and visualizing performance leveraging the platforms within the commercialization ecosystem. They will be responsible for ensuring the health, security, and reliability of enabling platforms while maintaining operational excellence across all supported channels.

In addition, the candidate must demonstrate the ability to help implement and maintain AI-powered solutions that support marketing channel engagement to optimize channel performance, personalize customer interactions, and derive actionable insights from engagement data.

The role encompasses both new project delivery and ongoing BAU (Business as Usual) operations, requiring effective collaboration and communication with key internal and external stakeholders to align priorities, resolve issues, and drive continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Participates in all aspects of channel engagement and cross channel measurement which includes designing, implementation, documentation, testing, deployment, and support.
  • Leverages AI/ML models, and intelligent automation to develop & continually optimize marketing channel engagement solutions.
  • Builds solutions and supports integration of APIs to drive the interactions between client applications and backend servers or external services.
  • Applies a security minded application development approach, applying secure coding principles.
  • Undertakes the debugging, unit testing and troubleshooting throughout the development process under minimal supervision.
  • Performs test code reviews for others in project, providing feedback on areas for improvement. Codes internally developed applications and/or configures off-the-shelf applications using programming, scripting and database languages.
  • Drives agile best practices and supports an engineering culture that fosters innovation and creativity.
  • Actively engages & participates in new programs/projects and ensure optimal execution as well as proactive/seamless communication among the cross-matrix teams.
  • Explores digital opportunities by researching emerging technologies and platforms, conducting feasibility studies, and collaborating with teams to implement innovative digital marketing strategies.
  • Partners with global, regional & local stakeholders to drive the adoption and enablement of measurement solutions by supporting change management, end user training & ongoing platform/application support.
  • Drive the organization's media & non-media data ingestion, data quality management & data visualization processes & capabilities, fostering continuous improvement.
  • Ensure management & control of IT project(s) and / or operational tasks including –
  • Creation of tracking parameter generator templates for the following channels: Home Office & Triggered Emails, SMS, Web, Web, Social Media, Podcasts, Vanity, QR codes; third party emails, display/banners etc.
  • Creation of naming convention generators for US commercial third-party placements, for social, display, and third party emails. 
  • Maintaining and troubleshoot Claravine and Adobe Analytics Mapping Integration, as well as Claravine and S3 output integration to CSCAN. 
  • Custom and generic shortened URLs (bit.ly); QR code creation 
  • Enable & maintain data ingestion & data quality management processes as well as data visualization platforms/tools like Power BI / Tableau / DOMO or similar to support media & cross-channel measurements
  • Partner with external platform partners/vendors to influence & drive their product roadmaps
  • Identify opportunities to leverage AI solutions for continuous improvement such as increasing productivity or cost savings throughout the delivery process
  • Strong technical writing skills for updating supporting documentation, Knowledgebase articles etc.
  • Partner closely with the various Commercialization-BI&T team to align and identify opportunities / synergies in respective capabilities and IT investments.
  • Responsible for ensuring that all IT functions are successful in their delivery of services to drive value/impact for the business teams.  Key matrix IT partner functions include enterprise & data architecture, cyber security, application build & support, portfolio & program management, enterprise information management, collaboration services, infrastructure services.

  • Foundational understanding of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) concepts, with a curiosity and willingness to learn how AI tools and models can be applied to marketing channel engagement and analytics.
  • Ability to understand the needs of the business and commitment to deliver the best user experience and adoption. 
  • Strong analytical and technical skills: Ability to design wireframes, data models, and technical designs based on functional specifications and business requirements. Proficiency in programming languages like SQL, Python, and R.
  • Expertise in visualization tools: Experience in designing and developing visually appealing dashboards using tools like Tableau, DOMO, Power BI etc. Familiarity with advanced data management & visualization capabilities such as parameters, actions, tooltip modifications, API integration, and data science capabilities.
  • Familiarity with cloud-based data platforms, including basic experience with data querying, data pipeline workflows, or working within these environments to support analytics and reporting needs
  • Data transformation and ETL proficiency: Hands-on experience with ETL solutions and traditional transformation techniques to manipulate and prepare data for reporting and analysis.
  • Excellent communication, presentation & interpersonal skills.
  • Innovative and inquisitive nature to ask questions, offer bold ideas and challenge the status quo.
  • Agility to learn new tools and processes continually.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree with 1-3 years of IT work experience.
  • Proven understanding of different type of data connections, data quality management, data processing & data visualization tool like Power BI or Tableau or DOMO etc.
  • Deep analytical skills, logical thinking mindset and energized by problem solving to identify and resolve technical issues
  • Proactive, solution-oriented approach
  • Capable of working cooperatively across boundaries and within a matrix to achieve results.
  • Ability to deliver complex systems to one or multiple geographies and business units.
  • Experienced in information technology and management, project and portfolio management, planning & delivery of systems/solutions.
  • Proven experience in coordinating media & non-media campaigns as well as providing IT support for marketing activations.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze data and provide actionable insights.
  • Familiarity with and awareness of the Pharmaceutical Industry.
  • Demonstrates influencing skills with key partners across functions/regions.

Desired Experience:

  • Digital Marketing experience with media (paid, owned, and earned) & non-media channels
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with the confidence to build strong partnerships & influence leaders in the organization.
  • Hands-on experience with data visualization platforms/tools like Tableau, DOMO or Power BI
  • Hand-on experience in establishing data connections, building datasets, dashboards and visualization cards
  • Hands-on experience with Claravine platform
  • Strong BI skills, deep understanding in relational & non-relational databases and data warehouse
  • Hands-on experience with Amazon Redshift and Databricks
  • Understanding of data science concepts like machine learning models
  • Exposure to AI-assisted platforms, prompt-based tools, or data-driven automation — even in an academic or project setting
  • Well versed in API techniques, SQL, Python etc.
  • Experience with Project Management and leading projects to completion. Familiar with agile and scrum methodologies
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Familiar with documenting current state process flows and/or process mapping tools (Examples: Process mapping in PowerPoints or Visio, etc.)
  • Knowledgeable with Project Security Reviews, Data Privacy Reviews and Data Privacy policy
  • Strong understanding of IT processes like information/data architecture, data privacy reviews, cyber security reviews risk assessments etc.

Other Experience:

  • Working knowledge of agile software-development lifecycle methodologies.
  • Demonstrated ability to support a dynamic culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Potential to develop into an internally and externally recognized thought-leader in the field of omni-channel capabilities & solutions/services.

Compensation Overview:

Princeton - NJ - US: $76,080 - $92,185

The starting compensation range(s) for this role are listed above for a full-time employee (FTE) basis. Additional incentive cash and stock opportunities (based on eligibility) may be available. The starting pay rate takes into account characteristics of the job, such as required skills, where the job is performed, the employee’s work schedule, job-related knowledge, and experience. Final, individual compensation will be decided based on demonstrated experience.
