About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Software Engineer.
In this role, you will:
Lead moderately complex initiatives and deliverables within technical domain environments
Contribute to large scale planning of strategies
Design, code, test, debug, and document for projects and programs associated with technology domain, including upgrades and deployments
Review moderately complex technical challenges that require an in-depth evaluation of technologies and procedures
Resolve moderately complex issues and lead a team to meet existing client needs or potential new clients' needs while leveraging solid understanding of the function, policies, procedures, or compliance requirements
Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and mid-level managers to resolve technical challenges and achieve goals
Lead projects and act as an escalation point, provide guidance and direction to less experienced staff
Required Qualifications:
4+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
Design, develop, and deploy Power BI reports, dashboards, and semantic models
Create optimized data models using star/snowflake schemas
Connect Power BI to multiple data sources (Dataverse, Azure SQL, SQL Server, APIs, Excel, SharePoint, etc.)
Perform data transformation using Power Query (M language)
Work with relational and NoSQL databases (e.g., SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Cosmos DB)
Integrate with third-party APIs and services
Participate in code reviews, technical design discussions, and architecture decisions
Experience building & consuming REST APIs and microservices
Knowledge of authentication/authorization (OAuth2, JWT)
Experience consuming REST APIs and handling async flows
Proficiency with Git and modern branching strategies
Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Understanding of Azure / AWS (App Services, Azure Functions, Storage, etc.)
Exposure to Kubernetes and Containerization
Experience with CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Harness etc)
Knowledge of Domain-Driven Design (DDD) or event-driven architecture
Prior experience in SaaS or enterprise-scale applications
Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with Power BI, and familiarity with other visualization tools such as Tableau, Grafana, or similar platforms.
Professional experience in Python software development.
Knowledge and hands-on experience with Python AI/ML libraries.
