About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Software Engineer.

We are seeking an experienced IBM BAW Advanced Developer to help design, build, and enhance enterprise workflow solutions. The ideal candidate has deep expertise with IBM Integration Designer (IID), with a strong background in building complex orchestrations and integrations within the IBM Business Automation Workflow ecosystem. Experience with IBM Process Designer is a plus.

In this role, you will:

  • Lead moderately complex initiatives and deliverables within technical domain environments
  • Contribute to large scale planning of strategies
  • Design, code, test, debug, and document for projects and programs associated with technology domain, including upgrades and deployments
  • Review moderately complex technical challenges that require an in-depth evaluation of technologies and procedures
  • Resolve moderately complex issues and lead a team to meet existing client needs or potential new clients needs while leveraging solid understanding of the function, policies, procedures, or compliance requirements
  • Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and mid-level managers to resolve technical challenges and achieve goals
  • Lead projects and act as an escalation point, provide guidance and direction to less experienced staff


Required Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education


Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience with IBM Process Designer
  • Experience in migrating/modernizing BPM platforms


Job Expectations:

  • Design, develop, and maintain workflows and integrations using IBM Integration
  • Designer (IID) to support end-to-end business processes.
  • Collaborate with team to translate requirements into scalable technical solutions.
  • Integrate BAW workflows with other systems using web services, REST APIs, JMS, or other middleware patterns.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve performance, deployment, and runtime issues within the BAW environment.
  • Ensure adherence to best practices in BPEL development, SOA patterns, and workflow design.
  • Lead moderately complex initiatives and deliverables within technical domain environments

  • Strong years of hands-on development experience with IBM Business Automation Workflow (BAW) or IBM BPM.
  • Strong proficiency with BPEL development and orchestration concepts.
  • Expertise in IBM Integration Designer (IID), including SCA components, mediation flows, and integration services.
  • Solid understanding of SOA principles, service integration patterns, and XML technologies (XSD, XPath, XSLT).
  • Experience developing and consuming SOAP and REST services.
  • Ability to debug complex workflows and integrations across distributed systems.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to work collaboratively in an Agile environment.
  • Experience with Java/J2EE development.
  • Hands on experience using AI tools in SDLC lifecycle.
