Senior Software Engineer, Salesforce Integration

Red Hat’s Customer Experience & Engagement (CEE) team is looking for a Senior Software Engineer with a background in Salesforce Integration to join our Business Intelligence team.

A Red Hat Salesforce Integration Engineer designs and builds custom solutions connecting Salesforce with other systems, using technologies like Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), and Red Hat Integration tools (e.g., Fuse, AMQ) to manage data flow and processes, focusing on automation, scalability, and leveraging Red Hat's open-source approach for seamless enterprise integration. They work in agile teams, often integrating Sales/Service Cloud with internal platforms, requiring strong skills in Salesforce development, API integrations, and understanding enterprise architecture.

This role may come into contact with confidential or sensitive customer information requiring special treatment in accordance with Red Hat policies and applicable privacy laws.

What you will do

  • Development: Creating custom features, integrations (REST/SOAP), and automations (Triggers, Flows, Batch Apex).

  • AI-assisted development: Employ AI-driven testing frameworks to automate test case generation, optimize test execution, identify potential edge cases, and enhance overall test coverage and reliability.

  • Integration: Connecting Salesforce with other Red Hat internal systems (ERP, Data Warehouses) and external APIs.

  • Architecture: Designing scalable solutions, ensuring data security, and optimizing performance.

  • Collaboration: Working in Scrum teams, defining process strategies, and providing technical guidance.

  • Tools: Utilizing Salesforce DX, Git, Ant, and potentially Red Hat's integration products.

What you will bring

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher, or international equivalent, in sciences or a technology field.

  • 5+ years of experience working as a salesforce developer with hands-on experience in performing integration activities.

  • Salesforce: Deep knowledge of Apex, LWC, Visualforce, Security Model, Data Loader, and Platform Events.

  • Integration: Experience with APIs (REST, SOAP, JSON), middleware, and integration patterns(Camel, Fuse, Workato and/or similar).

  • Development: Proficiency in object-oriented programming, SCM (GitHub), and CI/CD concepts.

  • Certifications (Helpful): Salesforce Platform Developer, App Builder, and potentially Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) for broader skills.
