About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Secured Lending Underwriter for the Asset Based Lending team part of Commercial Banking Group.
In this role, you will:
Participate in underwriting and loan closing of transactions
Identify opportunities for process improvements within scope of responsibilities for Secured Lending Underwriting functional area
Review and analyze basic business challenges within Secured Lending Underwriting functional area that require research, evaluation, and selection of alternatives
Exercise independent judgement to guide medium risk deliverables
Present recommendations for resolving more complex situations and exercise independent judgement while developing expertise in Secured Lending Underwriting functional area, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements
Collaborate and consult with Secured Lending Underwriting colleagues, internal partners, and stakeholders, including internal and external customers
Required Qualifications:

Experience with underwriting platforms, loan origination systems, and advanced Excel (pivot tables, macros).
Knowledge about Gen AI Tools
Education: Master's degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; CFA/FRM preferred.
4+ years in credit underwriting or portfolio management within commercial or secured lending.
Proven track record of handling complex transactions and high-value deals.
Exposure to sectors like real estate, manufacturing, or trade finance is a plus.
