Hitachi Digital Services is a global SAP services partner known for delivering industry-focused SAP S/4HANA solutions that drive measurable business outcomes. Our SAP practice supports clients across consumer products, manufacturing, wholesale distribution, and aerospace & defense by leveraging SAP Best Practices, preconfigured templates, and proven delivery methodologies. We partner closely with our clients from design through post-go-live support, incorporating strong organizational change management practices to ensure adoption, scalability, and long-term success.
The role
Hitachi Digital Services is seeking a Senior SAP S/4HANA FICO & Group Reporting Consultant or Manager to support complex SAP S/4HANA finance transformations. This is a hands-on, client-facing role focused on delivering Fiori-first SAP S/4HANA implementations, including use of SAP Fiori apps for core accounting activities, Profit Center Reorganization, and financial reporting modernization.
The consultant will gather business requirements, facilitate design workshops, prototype and configure SAP S/4HANA FICO and Group Reporting solutions, support testing and defect resolution, and play a key role in deployment and go-live activities. This role supports both ECC to S/4HANA Brownfield conversions and Greenfield S/4HANA implementations, working closely with U.S.-based and offshore delivery teams.
This position requires deep accounting domain knowledge, strong SAP S/4HANA configuration expertise, and the ability to guide mid-market and consumer products clients through financial process transformation. This is a senior-level consulting role and is not intended for entry-level or first-time SAP consultants.
What you’ll bring
8+ years of hands-on SAP FI/CO implementation experience
Hands-on SAP S/4HANA experience (version 2020 or higher), including Greenfield and Brownfield implementations
Direct implementation experience with SAP Group Reporting
Prior hands-on accounting domain experience, supporting financial close and/or consolidation processes prior to SAP consulting
Strong configuration experience across GL, AP, AR, Asset Accounting, Cost Center Accounting, Internal Orders, Bank Accounting, and basic COPA
Experience using SAP Fiori apps for FICO, including Profit Center Reorganization and core accounting activities
Direct involvement in multiple SAP go-lives, including business cutover planning and execution
Experience working with consumer products clients (preferred) or manufacturing / high-tech industries
At least 8 years of consulting experience with a management or IT consulting firm
Strong client-facing communication, meeting facilitation, and stakeholder management skills
