About the Role

As a Senior SAP Change & Risk Automation Consultant at Tricentis, you will lead enterprise customers through the modernization of their SAP delivery processes using Tricentis Impact Analysis tools. You will serve as a strategic advisor, architect, and hands‑on expert who helps large organizations transform how they assess SAP risk, optimize testing, reduce production incidents, and accelerate release cycles. This is a senior technical leadership role: you will shape strategy, own customer outcomes, influence product direction, and elevate customer maturity across SAP change, quality engineering, and lifecycle automation.

You must be able to demonstrate mastery of the SAP SDLC concepts.

What You Will Lead

1. Strategic Leadership Across SAP SDLC & DevOps

  • Define and guide SAP change governance models across complex landscapes (ECC, S/4HANA, multi‑track, global templates).

  • Advise senior IT leaders on SAP release modernization, risk reduction, testing strategy, and operational readiness.

  • Lead process transformation initiatives that shift customers from manual SAP change processes to data‑driven, automated decisioning.

  • Serve as the principal thought partner for CIOs, SAP Directors, QA leaders, and Enterprise Architects.

2. SAP Testing Strategy & Quality Engineering Leadership

You will lead customers in modernizing their testing lifecycle:

  • Define end‑to‑end SAP test strategies using Sealights/LiveCompare insights.

  • Drive risk‑based regression and prioritization logic across all SAP test cycles.

  • Partner with Tosca consultants to incorporate automation where appropriate.

  • Ensure quality maturity across:

    • Integration testing

    • System testing

    • UAT

    • Performance/load testing

    • Security & authorization testing

    • Cutover/dress rehearsals

  • Guide customers on how to shift from reactive testing to proactive quality assurance.

3. Customer Maturity, Enablement & Executive Influence

  • Provide thought leadership and white‑glove advisory services to enterprise clients.

  • Build and lead executive‑level working sessions on SAP risk, release confidence, and quality strategy.

  • Mentor customer teams to build internal capability around Sealights and LiveCompare.

  • Articulate business value clearly (e.g., reduced downtime, faster releases, auditability, lower testing costs).

  • Act as an internal champion helping Tricentis shape product direction based on field insights.

What You Bring

Required Senior‑Level Experience:

  • 6+ years deep experience in SAP SDLC, change control, transports, or SAP testing.

  • Proven track record modernizing SAP release processes across large enterprises.

  • Expert knowledge of SAP landscapes (DEV/QAS/PRD), clients, transport mechanics, and dependency management.

  • Strong background in quality engineering, SAP testing, automation, or DevOps for SAP.

  • Sharp analytical capability: able to interpret complex impact maps, dependency chains, and risk scoring models.

  • Exceptional executive communication skills; comfortable advising CIO/VP/Director‑level audiences.

Preferred Advanced Skills:

  • Experience integrating Tricentis tools with SAP ChaRM, SolMan, Cloud ALM, Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or Git‑based workflows.

  • Familiarity with S/4HANA modernization programs and brownfield/greenfield transitions.

  • Understanding of ABAP code quality practices, custom code remediation, and modernization.

  • Experience in consulting, customer success, or technical pre‑sales at an enterprise software company.

  • Contributions to internal frameworks, playbooks, best practices, or solution accelerators.

Success Criteria for This Role

A successful consultant will:

  • Demonstrate mastery of SAP lifecycle concepts tested in the SAP SDLC Assessment.

  • Independently own complex SeaLights or LiveCompare deployments with minimal oversight.

  • Reduce customer regression effort and time by 60–90% through automated impact intelligence.

  • Influence customer architecture, governance, and testing strategy at an executive level.

  • Drive adoption, value realization, and multi‑wave expansion of Tricentis tools.

  • Become a recognized subject‑matter authority internally and externally.
