This is a senior leadership role with full accountability for people, performance, and strategy across a high‑impact region.
Your Impact
As Senior Sales Manager, you will:
Lead and inspire a high‑performing Nordic sales team to exceed sales, profitability, and budget objectives
Shape and execute regional sales strategies aligned with Abbott Vascular’s commercial priorities
Play a key role in product launches, tender strategy, and market development
Build strong cross‑functional partnerships with Marketing, Finance, Contracts, Customer Service, and Regulatory teams
Key Responsibilities
Sales Leadership & Strategy
Own regional sales performance, forecasting, and target setting
Lead annual planning cycles, budget allocation (OPEX), and performance reviews
Drive Commercial Excellence initiatives, market intelligence, and data‑driven decision making
Ensure strong use of Salesforce and Power BI for visibility and execution
Customers & Market Development
Build long‑term partnerships with key customers and opinion leaders
Identify customer needs and competitive dynamics to unlock growth opportunities
Support capital equipment solutions and complex commercial deals
Tenders & Contracts
Define and execute Nordic tender strategies in collaboration with Contracts and Division leadership
Support key accounts throughout the tender lifecycle and secure new and existing business
People Leadership
Recruit, coach, and develop sales talent to reach full potential
Create clear development, succession, and growth plans
Conduct regular field coaching and foster a winning, inclusive culture
Compliance & Quality
Ensure full compliance with Abbott policies, OEC standards, and regulatory requirements
Champion health, safety, and environmental responsibility
What You Bring
Proven experience leading sales teams in MedTech, Vascular, or complex healthcare environments
Strong commercial acumen with solid financial and data‑analysis skills
Experience in tender‑driven and procurement‑led markets
Excellent negotiation, contracting, and presentation skills
Strong understanding of healthcare systems and regulatory environments
Fluent English (Nordic language skills are a plus)
Valid driver’s license
