Job Summary:
The Senior Saas Implementation Specialist leads the team of Implementation Specialists responsible for onboarding new customers to the SaaS platform. You ensure best-in-class onboarding processes and high performance across your team while directly handling complex, high-value, or strategic customer implementations yourself. You represent the organization at tradeshows and industry events, building relationships, gathering feedback, and elevating the brand. Your leadership and hands-on expertise drive successful customer activation, accelerated ARR realization, and lay the groundwork for future retention and product/chemical sales growth.
Responsibilities:
Leads, trains, and develops the Implementation Specialist team to consistently deliver successful onboarding projects, supporting their professional growth and holding them accountable to departmental standards.
Manages and executes implementation projects for key, high-value, or high-complexity customers, serving as the primary onboarding contact and subject matter expert.
Allocates onboarding projects, balances team workload, and optimizes resource deployment to ensure timely and quality customer activation.
Develops, documents, and continuously improves standard operating procedures and best practices for SaaS onboarding.
Monitors implementation project health, proactively identifies risks, and drives timely resolution for escalated issues.
Collaborates closely with Sales, Customer Success, Product, and Support to ensure clear communication, seamless handoffs, and effective feedback loops.
Analyzes onboarding and activation metrics to drive process improvements and develops new enablement materials based on customer and team feedback.
Represents the implementation function at tradeshows and industry events, networking with customers and industry partners, gathering market insights, and reinforcing POOLCORP’s SaaS leadership.
Reports key onboarding and activation metrics (activation rates, time-to-value, CSAT, etc.) to company leadership and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements:
3+ years in SaaS implementation, onboarding, or technical project management, including prior team leadership experience.
Demonstrated ability to lead, develop, and motivate a customer-facing technical team.
Strong hands-on implementation expertise with enterprise or strategic/key accounts.
Exceptional project management, resource allocation, and organizational skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities for both internal and external stakeholders.
Confident public presence for event/tradeshow participation and presentations.
Process design, documentation, and continuous improvement orientation.
Proficiency with onboarding, ticketing, and CRM/ERP systems.
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business, Project Management, or a related field required.
Relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, SaaS onboarding, or change management) are strongly preferred.
