Position Summary
The Senior Research Support Specialist will provide high-level support for a health-related research project during the final phase of the project period. This position will support qualitative data analysis, research synthesis, technical writing support, and development of research-related materials. The selected individual must be able to work independently, manage assigned tasks efficiently, and maintain a high level of accuracy and professionalism.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Provide qualitative data analysis support using NVivo
Review, organize, and synthesize qualitative data
Develop analytic summaries, interpretive memos, tables, and related research materials
Provide technical writing and revision support for research and dissemination materials
Support integration of findings into structured project documents and outputs
Provide limited quantitative data support, as needed, including data organization and descriptive summaries
Complete assigned tasks in accordance with project timelines and expectations
Minimum Qualifications
Master’s degree in a relevant field
Experience in qualitative research and data analysis
Proficiency in NVivo
Strong technical, academic, or research writing skills
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines with minimal supervision
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Preferred Education and Experience
Doctoral degree in a relevant field
Experience in health, healthcare, nursing, public health, or community-based research
Experience with mixed-methods research or basic quantitative data support
Experience supporting grant-funded or dissemination-focused research projects
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Knowledge of qualitative research methods and analytic processes
Skill in using NVivo for coding, organization, and analysis of qualitative data
Skill in technical and research writing
Ability to synthesize complex findings into clear written materials
Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines
Ability to exercise sound judgment and maintain confidentiality
Work Environment
This is a remote, task-based, temporary position. Work will be assigned based on project needs, with specific deliverables and timelines established in advance. Hours will vary based on project demand and available funding.
Appointment Period: Approximately May 1, 2026 through August 31, 2026
Position Type: Part-time, temporary, remote, as-needed
Rate: $40.00 per hour
