GENERAL PURPOSE
Serves as a site-level customer and quality champion as well as a critical leader within the Corporate Quality team. Responsible for implementing and managing activities that improve the customer's experience. Accountable for analyzing customer trends and connecting them to product and process opportunities in order to meet site quality and business objectives.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Applies problem-solving skills and executes solutions to difficult problems.
- Assigns and manages the completion, timeliness, and effectiveness of Corrective Actions.
- Navigates quality information systems at an expert level and recommends improvements when identified.
- Performs internal Quality Management System audits and drives resolution to issues highlighted.
- Acts as the primary owner of an element of the company's Quality Management System.
- Leads internal and external regulatory compliance audits – ISO, UL, etc. and drives resolution on issues identified.
- Acts as a mentor to help develop other Quality colleagues. Provides direction and priority setting in the absence of the Work Team Leader.
- Understands and teaches others how to interpret engineering blueprints, product BOMs, and product quality criteria.
- Applies quality standards to determine whether the product is acceptable, including independent product hold determinations.
- Owns and manages product audits at the site level; drives action to resolve issues highlighted during the audits.
- Performs customer complaint trend analysis and identifies opportunities to improve products and processes.
- Performs advanced metrology and calibration techniques.
- Responsible for site-level procedures, inspection plans, quality criteria, and other quality documentation.
- Performs additional responsibilities as requested to achieve business objectives.

Education/Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in relevant discipline OR 10 years of applicable work experience, including 3 to 5 years of experience with ISO Quality Systems.
Skills and Abilities
- Advanced knowledge of Quality Assurance principles and systems with demonstrated customer-first behavior.
- Proven ability to stand alone in critical decision-making.
- Demonstrated assessment and implementation of continuous improvement opportunities.
- Demonstrated a high level of written, verbal, and interpersonal skills to communicate information, ideas, procedures, and processes at a level appropriate to the audience and resulting in effective working relationships.
- Advanced knowledge of office automation, communication, software and tools, Herman Miller mainframe applications, and engineering-related software.
- Demonstrated knowledge of the connection between quality objectives and business results.
- Must be able to assess priorities and determine course of action with minimal day-to-day supervision and be able to anticipate, recognize, and respond effectively to change.
- Willingness to travel to customer sites.
