SET THE COURSE

The Senior PR Manager will lead Tommy Bahama’s in-house public relations function, serving as the primary liaison with our external PR and affiliate agencies. This role is responsible for shaping and amplifying the brand narrative, executing public  relations strategies and coordinating campaign execution, The Senior PR Manager will measure success and adapt and adjust to optimize PR performance to support business growth.

BE THE ISLAND GUIDE

  • Lead the in-house PR function and act as the primary liaison with external PR and affiliate agencies to ensure alignment with brand strategy and business goals.
  • Develop and execute an annual PR plan that supports brand positioning, seasonal collections, collaborations, product launches, and key business initiatives.
  • Oversee media relations and earned media efforts, ensuring agencies have the information and tools needed to secure strong editorial, influencer, and digital coverage.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, communications, product, design, retail, restaurant, e-commerce, and social teams to integrate PR into broader brand campaigns.
  • Manage PR deliverables and assets, including press kits, lookbooks, sample coordination, media events, and product previews, ensuring excellence and timeliness.
  • Track and analyze PR performance—monitor media impressions, sentiment, share of voice, influencer value, and ROI; report insights and recommend improvements.
  • Protect and enhance brand reputation, ensuring all external communications align with brand tone, voice, and visual identity, while proactively managing potential PR risks.
  • Develop and Manage PR budgets for agency retainers, events, and materials in coordination with the Marketing Leadership.
  • Monitor industry and media trends to identify new opportunities across fashion, lifestyle, and digital spaces, including influencer and experiential platforms.
  • Support brand and store events, launches, and partnerships to strengthen awareness and engagement in key markets.

ESSENTIALS FOR LIFE IN PARADISE

  • Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, Marketing or related field. Professional certification in Public Relations, Communication or Digital Marketing are preferred.
  • 7-10+ years of public relations experience within fashion, retail, or lifestyle brands, including direct experience managing or collaborating with external PR agencies.
  • Strong media relationships and a proven ability to secure impactful editorial, influencer, and digital coverage that drives brand awareness and engagement.
  • Exceptional communicator—skilled in crafting clear, compelling narratives across press materials, media kits, executive messaging, and talking points.
  • Strategic, hands-on leader with the ability to set direction, manage execution, and coordinate cross-functional teams, timelines, and budgets.
  • Analytically minded, capable of interpreting PR performance metrics, assessing ROI, and translating insights into actionable business strategies.
  • Deep understanding of media and influencer ecosystems, including social and digital trends shaping the fashion and lifestyle landscape.
  • Collaborative and adaptable, able to build strong partnerships across internal departments and with external agencies, influencers, and media.
  • Highly organized and proactive, comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient with PR analytics and media monitoring tools and open to occasional travel for media events, store launches, and press engagements.

Multiple factors will vary the applicable rate of pay for this role, including an individual’s experience, knowledge, and skillset, as well as work location and available budget.

Rate Range: $124,600 to $207,700 per year
