[What the role is]
You will be part of a team responsible for translating the policies and strategies of the HIV-Hepatitis-STI (HHS) Division into actionable programmes and projects. This involves working closely with a diverse range of stakeholders and partners to implement interventions aimed at controlling HIV and STIs and eliminating viral hepatitis in Singapore.
You will be responsible for planning and implementing key outreach and education initiatives, including developing the overarching outreach and education strategy for HHS diseases. A key focus of the role will be growing the Singapore HIV, Hepatitis and STI Congress from a local platform into a regional one by engaging regional partners and stakeholders, expanding the congress's reach and profile, and coordinating the programming and logistics necessary to support this growth. This role also involves providing content-related expertise to inform the development of educational materials and campaigns that promote health awareness and encourage participation in prevention and treatment programmes. Last, the individual should monitor and evaluate periodically the effectiveness of outreach initiatives.
As part of the role, you should also be comfortable with basic data analysis to assess the impact and effectiveness of outreach strategies to help inform strategic decisions and policy formulations.
As a health officer within HHS, the job holder will also be involved in case investigations, interviews, and contact tracing pertaining to bloodborne disease notifications submitted through national disease registries.

[What you will be working on]
- Conceptualisation, development, and conduct of education and outreach programmes aimed at increasing awareness of the relevant diseases to increase testing and treatment, and reduction of stigma.
- Perform in-depth case investigations in response to disease outbreaks and subsequent reporting of findings to the relevant stakeholders.
- Issuance of collaborative agreements, monitoring of budgets and key performance indicators, co-creation of programmes with monitoring and evaluation of programme effectiveness.
- Management and conducting of research projects as required.
- Any other division-related matters.
[What we are looking for]
- Minimum qualifications in recognised disciplines, preferably in Public Health, Health Information Management, Social Sciences, or a related field.
- Knowledge of the healthcare landscape in Singapore, particularly in HIV, hepatitis C, and STI management, would be advantageous.
- Experience in public health programme management, stakeholder engagement, or related areas would also be advantageous.
- Ability to navigate the complexities of public health initiatives, including managing multiple projects, engaging with diverse stakeholders, and ensuring the successful implementation of health programmes.
- Strong organisational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working collaboratively in a diverse environment.
