The Senior Project Manager will lead and oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of new and revamped product initiatives from initiation through completion. This role ensures that all projects are delivered on time, within scope, and with high quality by securing necessary resources and applying Agile methodologies to effectively manage timelines, risks, and changes.
In addition to product launches, the scope of work includes managing product enhancements, product campaigns, and fund-related projects and any other business initiatives.
Job Descriptions:
- Oversee the planning and execution of new and revamped product initiatives, including defining scope, scheduling timelines, and managing overall implementation using Agile methodologies
- Partner closely with Product Directors/Managers to lead various aspects of product implementation, including regulatory approvals, operational workflows, system integration, and governance.
- Liaise with internal teams such as Customer Operations, IT, Agency, Bancassurance, Legal & Compliance to resolve issues related to product development and regulatory requirements, ensuring timely delivery
- Identify challenges and present actionable recommendations to stakeholders to resolve issues, improve implementation efficiency, and drive ongoing process improvement through iterative evaluation and refinement.
- Chair weekly Product Implementation Committee (PIC) meetings, build strong working relationships across departments, report project progress to stakeholders, and escalate issues when necessary
- Lead additional projects, including but not limited to product enhancements, campaigns, and fund-related initiatives, and take on assignments from Chief Product Officer or Head of Product Management as needed.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in project management within the insurance field.
- Proven track record of managing complex, cross-functional projects from initiation to completion.
- Strong understanding of the product development lifecycle and regulatory environments.
- Experience working with Agile methodologies.
- Excellent insurance product knowledge
- Good understanding of life insurance operating structures and systems
- Excellent communication, analytical, and stakeholder management skills
- Proven project management skills
