Summary

The Senior Project Manager, Finance & Strategic Investments for subsidiary management provides strategic leadership over TAI’s investment portfolio and subsidiary oversight operations. This role directs a professional team responsible for investment analysis, corporate governance, financial oversight, and long-term strategic alignment across assigned subsidiaries.
The Senior Project Manager ensures that TAI’s investment strategy, subsidiary performance, and risk management practices are executed consistently and in accordance with TAI and TTC global standards. This role exercises decision-making authority leads cross-functional initiatives and serves as a key advisor to executive leadership.

What You'll Do:

1. Strategic Leadership & Portfolio Oversight

  • Provide executive leadership for TAI’s investment strategy and subsidiary oversight framework.
  • Direct the evaluation of new investment opportunities and consolidation/exit decisions.
  • Set long-term investment goals and performance targets; ensure alignment with global TTC strategy.
  • Lead the development of annual and mid-term strategic plans for assigned subsidiaries.

2. People Management

  • Lead and manage a team of analysts, specialists, and subsidiary liaisons, including hiring, coaching, performance evaluations, succession planning, and workload allocation.
  • Delegate analytical, operational, and reporting responsibilities across the team to ensure high-quality outputs.
  • Provide continuous leadership development and strategic guidance to staff supporting PPM activities.

3. Subsidiary Oversight & Governance

  • Oversee the financial, operational, and governance performance of assigned subsidiaries.
  • Direct monthly/quarterly performance reviews, budget evaluations, CAPEX analysis, and risk assessments.
  • Approve subsidiary-level financial actions, governance documents, and board materials.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between subsidiaries and TAI/TTC executive leadership, ensuring transparency, compliance, and alignment.

4. Executive-Level Analysis, Reporting & Decision Support

  • Direct the preparation of high-level investment reports, board presentations, forecasts, and risk analyses.
  • Review and approve complex financial models, due-diligence evaluations, and strategic recommendations prepared by the team.
  • Brief senior leadership (GGM, CFO, and TTC Japan) on emerging risks, financial trends, and strategic options.

5. Process Ownership & Improvement

  • Own and oversee the corporate processes for:
    • Investment evaluation                              
    • Subsidiary governance and reporting
    • Strategic planning
    • Risk monitoring
  • Establish standards, controls, and procedures to ensure consistency across subsidiaries.
  • Lead Kaizen and cross-functional improvement initiatives to enhance the quality and accuracy of analyses and reports.

What You'll Need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; MBA preferred.
  • Minimum 7–10 years of progressive experience in corporate finance, investment management, or subsidiary oversight.
  • Demonstrated experience leading teams and managing professional staff.
  • Strong executive presence with the ability to influence senior and global leadership.
  • Deep understanding of investment evaluation, due diligence, governance, and financial compliance.
  • Advanced financial modeling and analytical decision-making skills.
  • This role will require international assignments or relocation to support business needs, including potential placements in Mexico and the Caribbean region.
  • Demonstrated experience working with internal stakeholders and subsidiary leadership to support executive of investment strategies and business initiative.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% throughout the Caribbean, Mexico, and Latin America to support regional initiatives.
  • Fluent in English and Spanish (required) to support communication across regional networks.
  • CPA, CFA, CMA, or equivalent professional certification required.
