How you will make an impact: As a Cash Collection Specialist at Thermo Fisher Scientific, you will play a crucial role in managing our financial transactions and ensuring accurate record-keeping. You'll be responsible for a variety of tasks related to cash handling, electronic fund transfers (EFTs), and customer account management.
What you will do:
- Perform cash key entry and manage the key entry of cash transactions
- Save and process Electronic Fund Transfer (EFT) emails
- Check and manage the manual lockbox
- Save files and download banking details
- Create folios for key entry processes
- Follow up with customers regarding missing EFT payment advices
- Fill in banking details accurately
- Create statement of accounts for customers
- Provide proof of deliveries and packing slip copies as required
- Conduct monthly PST (Provincial Sales Tax) adjustments as well as daily adjustments
- Perform portal reconciliation and invoice flipping
- Assist with other financial tasks as needed
REQUIREMENTS:
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent required
Experience:
- 1- 3 years of experience in cash collection, accounts receivable, or a similar financial role
- Familiarity with EFT processes and banking systems
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
- Knowledge of accounting principles and practices
- Strong communication skills for customer follow- ups and internal coordination
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Problem-solving skills to resolve discrepancies in financial records
Travel Requirements:
- Minimal travel may be required
Compensation
The salary range estimated for this position based in Ontario is $36,400.00–$54,550.00.
