Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Program Manager to join the Space Communication Programs team in El Segundo, CA!

This role will lead the Boeing Commercial Satellite Services business, accountable for creating Boeing offerings that advantage BDS and BCA platform programs and provide SATCOM service solutions to government and commercial users around the world. Includes developing market opportunities in government and commercial markets, developing relationships with government users of commercial SATCOM services (DISA, DoD, Intel community, International Governments).

Position Responsibilities:

  • Lead the Boeing Commercial Satellite Services (BCSS) business in creation of new business and execution of current commitments.
  • Develops and executes integrated organizational plans, policies and procedures and guides the development of business and technical strategies, goals, objectives.
  • Acquires resources for organizational activities, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements.
  • Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports.
  • Provides oversight and approval of technical and programmatic approaches, products and processes for the BCSS team.
  • Candidate should have the experience, knowledge, and ability to lead a dispersed multi-discipline engineering, business operations, contracts and global sales and marketing team in the development, execution and product support.
  • Develop and maintains budgets, schedules, and program enterprise processes/policies.
  • Maintains daily contacts with senior business area leadership and customers concerning operational decisions, scheduling, execution, requirements, contractual clarifications, and proposal details.
  • Establishes and maintains organizational structure, responsibilities, and staffing across multiple organizations.
  • Leader will also be responsible for new business development and growth.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

This position requires an active U.S. Top Secret/SCI Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active)

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher
  • 10+ years performing in a leadership role
  • Experience with DOD and/or government acquisition processes
  • Experience leading projects that require integration across business units and/or multiple functions

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Experience in space/satellite systems.
  • Experience with engineering and program management processes including proposal preparation, ground and mission engineering, integration and test, verification and design/development.
  • Expertly formulates complex change strategies; adeptly involves others to evaluate options for change and encourage buy-in.
  • Directly participates in establishing, managing and administering multiple projects concurrently.
  • Experience in developing and managing technical, cost, and schedule metrics and technical performance measures (TPM).

Summary pay range: $218,450 - $295,550
