Senior Production Engineer

• Location: Egypt
• Function: Manufacturing

(Internal title: Sr. Analyst, Production)

About the role:

The Senior Production Engineer plans, leads, and controls assigned production processes and lines to achieve optimal results in safety, quality, efficiency, and cost. This role works closely with Manufacturing Operations, Quality, Maintenance, and Planning teams to ensure continuous, reliable production while identifying opportunities for improvement and capability building.

About the Team / Department:

You will join the Manufacturing team, working in a dynamic plant environment where collaboration, safety, and continuous improvement are core to how we operate. The role reports to the Manager, Manufacturing Operations and supports frontline teams in delivering daily operational excellence.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure all Safety, Health & Environment (SHE) standards and procedures are followed on the shop floor.
• Execute the production plan in close coordination with Factory Planning, ensuring on-time and efficient delivery.
• Lead and coordinate operators and line teams to ensure roles, processes, and standards are consistently met.
• Monitor production performance, quality results, scrap levels, and efficiency; take corrective actions as needed.
• Organize line operations including staffing, speeds, sequencing, and approved materials usage.
• Ensure equipment is operated safely and maintained through strong housekeeping and collaboration with Maintenance.
• Release and close production orders in SAP accurately and on time.
• Support capacity analysis, labor optimization, and line balancing initiatives.
• Participate in production trials, process changes, and new product introductions.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly performance reports and dashboards, using root cause analysis to identify loss drivers.

Experience you’ll bring:

• University degree in Engineering or related.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in manufacturing, preferably within a fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) environment.
• Knowledge of Lean / TPM tools.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001:2000, ISO 14001:2004 and ISO 18001:2007 process implementation
• Strong computer literacy and experience working with production systems and reporting tools.

Job requirements:

• Full-time role, based on-site in a manufacturing environment.
• This position is not eligible for relocation.
