Job Description
Rockwell Automation is seeking a Product Quality Engineer to support Post Release quality activities. This role is critical in ensuring sustained performance and customer satisfaction throughout the product lifecycle. The engineer will collaborate across engineering, manufacturing, product management, and program management teams to establish and execute quality goals, resolve issues, and promote continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Reads and interprets technical product documentation with understanding of product usage within customer application and environment.
- Develops and implements a quality management strategy to improve the quality of released solutions and new product designs.
- Demonstrates collaborative partnerships with peers, leaders, and stakeholders across functions.
- Collaborates with global locations and cross-functional teams including engineering, manufacturing, and product management.
- Implements metrics and dashboards to drive ongoing visibility and continuous improvement to quality goals and objectives.
- Leads process improvement efforts that drive systemic improvements in quality and customer issue resolution.
- Leads Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA) to ensure corrective and preventive actions address systemic root causes and eliminate repeats.
- Facilitates and participates in retrospectives for continuous improvement of products and processes; promotes development and tracking of action items.
- Performs risk assessments and implements early preventive mitigation action plans.
- Maintains accountability for high-quality performance throughout the product lifecycle by monitoring field performance, leading investigations, and driving corrective actions to improve customer satisfaction.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to drive performance results.

- Education: Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
- 5 years experience in quality, manufacturing or field service engineering, with demonstrated experience in both product development (NPI) and post-release support
- Experience in post-release quality support, including field issue resolution, RCFA, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Drives results with cross-functional team within a complex matrix organization
- Problem-solving skills to drive performance results
- Strong experience in QA tools and methodologies

- Proficiency in Microsoft applications (Primarily Excel and PowerPoint, Power BI)
- Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning system, SAP.
- Certification in LEAN, Six SIGMA tools and methodologies (Green Belt), CQE, AQE
- Provide key inputs into HW, SW/FW, and product requirements with basic understanding of product and applications
