The Consumer Spending Crew has end-to-end responsibility for the Commonwealth Bank Credit Cards business and our key consumer spending propositions, including Travel. We consist of squads that look after the development of the credit card products, acquisition, the growth of our portfolio, our loyalty program and end-to-end process improvement.

As the Senior Product Owner - Travel, you will lead a cross-functional squad responsible for driving continued growth of the Consumer Spending Travel proposition through product design excellence, innovative embedded digital journeys, strong partnerships and seamless execution.

Leading the Travel Squad is a pivotal role for the successful delivery of the Premium Cards and Propositions program of work. You will report to the Crew Lead for Consumer Spending, who will support you with your performance and development.
Key responsibilities will include
Travel Strategy: Design the strategic future state for our travel proposition to meet the current and future needs of customers and to drive continued growth.
Stakeholder Engagement: Build and nurture strong working relationships across multiple Domains to align on strategic initiatives and prioritise work that will deliver outcomes against your squad OKRs.
Prioritisation and Delivery excellence: Ensure work is clearly prioritised and effectively distributed to maximise outcomes delivered in the squad in line with quarterly deliverables.
Risk management: Responsible for proactively managing risks including performance of regular controls, robust product governance, identification of issues, escalation and swift resolution of issues including remediation.
We want to hear from you if you have
Experience in delivering strong outcomes in an Agile environment.
Advanced communication, stakeholder engagement and influencing skills. This role will see you working across risk, digital, operations, delivery, card schemes, compliance and more.
Experience in digital design and optimisation and/or an understanding of the digital landscape in the context of Travel.
Ability to think analytically and use data and insights to make decisions.
Tertiary qualification in a Business / Commerce Degree Preferred.
Previous work experience in the travel industry is beneficial.
