What is the opportunity?
Join RBC’s Cash Management Solutions team as a Senior Product Manager, Emerging Payments, where you’ll lead the strategic development and day-to-day operations of innovative commercial payment products. This role focuses on driving growth, enhancing client value, and ensuring compliance across emerging payment solutions like Interac, Real Time Rail, and Online Tax Filing. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize product performance, manage risks, and deliver seamless experiences for RBC’s diverse business clients.

What will you do?

  • Lead end-to-end product lifecycle management for emerging payment products, including strategy, development, and optimization.
  • Partner with sales and operations to support client acquisition, retention, and operational efficiency.
  • Monitor KPIs, market trends, and competitive benchmarks to inform product enhancements.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (e.g., AML, cross-border regulations) and maintain risk assessments (RTA’s).
  • Manage third-party supplier relationships to improve product delivery and client satisfaction.
  • Develop strategies to expand the product line and align with RBC’s broader business goals.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to streamline processes, reduce errors, and enhance service levels.
  • Conduct risk mitigation analyses and implement control measures to safeguard product integrity.
  • Stay ahead of industry trends in financial supply chain and cash flow solutions.
  • Present insights to senior leadership to drive informed decision-making.

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have:

  • 5+ years of experience in product management, cash management, or payments, preferably in banking/financial services.
  • Strong understanding of payment systems, financial supply chain management, and cash flow processes.
  • Proven ability to manage projects, prioritize stakeholders, and influence strategic outcomes.
  • Robust analytical skills and data-driven decision-making expertise.
  • Knowledge of regulatory compliance (AML, cross-border) and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business/Commerce or MBA.

Nice to have:

  • Certifications: ICB, CTP, or AAP.
  • Experience with Real Time Rail, Interac, or Online Tax Filing solutions.
  • Familiarity with wholesale/commercial banking or SME client segments.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and project management tools.
