Zenbusiness

Senior Product Designer

Remote Full Time

Who We Are

We started our company to help others launch and run their own businesses, at any stage. The way we help is by keeping it simple and supporting entrepreneurs one step at a time. Put simply: our mission is to enable anyone to start, run, and grow their business while avoiding the common pitfalls that derail hopeful entrepreneurs. No more having to wade through forms, taxes, or ongoing state compliance.

We are a remote company based in Austin, Texas. We have team members from Florida to Oregon and all points in-between. Take pride in your work knowing that it shapes how people all across the country reach their goal of starting, running, and growing their business.

If the idea of helping people and working with a genuinely caring, supportive team excites you, then you’ve come to the right place.

The Role

We’re looking for a Senior Product Designer to help shape and evolve ZenBusiness’ core product experience.

This role is ideal for a designer who brings strong craft, thoughtful judgment, and a collaborative mindset—someone who can navigate ambiguity, contribute meaningfully to product direction, and translate complex problems into clear, intuitive experiences.

You’ll work closely with Product Managers, Engineers, Researchers, and cross-functional partners to design end-to-end experiences that are not only usable, but coherent, human, and intentional.

This role is hands-on, impactful, and deeply collaborative — with space to influence how the product evolves and how design shows up within teams.

Responsibilities

  • Design thoughtful, end-to-end product experiences across ZenBusiness’ core platform — from early exploration through execution and iteration
  • Partner tightly with Product and Engineering to frame problems, explore opportunities, and deliver high-quality solutions
  • Contribute to product strategy by bringing user-centered thinking, design judgment, and strong rationale to discussions
  • Navigate ambiguity with confidence, helping bring clarity and structure to complex problem spaces
  • Apply strong interaction, visual, and systems thinking to create experiences that feel cohesive and intuitive
  • Use research, data, and feedback to inform design decisions and continuously improve outcomes
  • Participate in design critiques and reviews, offering constructive feedback and helping raise the bar for quality across the team
  • Collaborate with Design Systems and Brand partners to ensure consistency, scalability, and alignment across the product experience

What we're looking for

  • Proven mastery of UX fundamentals, interaction design, and visual design, with a portfolio that shows thoughtful execution and clarity of reasoning
  • An experienced designer who is comfortable operating in ambiguity and uses design as a clarifying force
  • A strong understanding of product design as a strategic discipline — shaping not just interfaces, but direction, value, and outcomes
  • Ability to connect user needs, business context, and technical constraints into clear design choices
  • A proactive mindset — someone who identifies opportunities and defines thoughtful paths forward without waiting to be directed
  • A track record of partnering effectively with Product, Engineering, and cross-disciplinary teams to build trust and momentum, incorporate diverse perspectives, and align teams toward shared goals
  • Comfort using qualitative and quantitative inputs — research insights, user feedback, data, and experimentation — to support design decisions
  • Ability to advocate for experience quality and human needs with empathy and conviction
  • Experience mentoring designers and helping elevate both individual growth and team effectiveness

Experience and Qualifications

  • Significant experience leading product design teams and shipping complex, user-centered digital products
  • A track record of working closely with Product and Engineering partners to deliver thoughtful, high-quality experiences
  • Deep understanding of UX, interaction design, and design fundamentals, and how to apply them in real-world product contexts
  • Experience operating across multiple levels of fidelity — from early exploration and problem framing to detailed execution and iteration
