CommSee is Commonwealth Bank's core assisted channel platform, empowering over 30,000 staff to deliver exceptional services to our customers. We are embarking on an exciting journey to reimagine the CommSee experience, transforming how we serve customers today and shaping the foundation for tomorrow.
About the Role
We’re looking for a Senior Product Designer to join the CommSee team, with a focus on the Leads & Opportunities space.
This is a hands-on product design role, embedded in a cross-functional squad. You’ll work closely with product managers, engineers, and stakeholders to deeply understand customer and business problems, explore opportunities, and deliver outcomes that improve customer experiences and commercial performance.
You’ll lead design from early discovery through to delivery, balancing strategic thinking with practical execution.
This role suits someone who thrives in ambiguity, enjoys shaping direction, and is motivated by seeing their work make a measurable impact.
You’ll thrive here if you’re energized by complex systems, enjoy tackling tough challenges and can thoughtfully influence and challenge stakeholders to reach the best outcomes for users.
Our Approach
We are building a product focused way of working across product, design, and engineering. Joining a recently formed crew, you will help shape our design practices and play a role in helping to define our methodologies and ways of working.
Key Responsibilities
Lead end-to-end product design, from problem discovery through to solution delivery in a complex environment.
Partner closely with product managers and engineers to frame problems, explore opportunities, and define outcomes.
Define, plan and conduct discovery activities such as user research, interviews, testing, and data-informed exploration to uncover insights and validate direction.
Translate insights into clear design concepts, experience flows, wireframes, prototypes, and high-quality UI that support delivery.
Iterate designs based on feedback, testing, and learnings, balancing user needs, business goals, and technical constraints.
Contribute to product strategy by articulating experience vision, identifying opportunities, and influencing prioritisation.
Collaborate effectively with stakeholders across product, engineering, operations, and design to build alignment and momentum.
Work within CBA’s design system to deliver consistent, accessible experiences, and provide feedback to system teams where gaps or opportunities are identified.
Champion strong design practice, customer-centred thinking, and continuous learning within the squad.
What You Will Bring :
Proven experience delivering end-to-end product design in a cross-functional product team.
Strong skills in discovery, problem framing, and translating insights into meaningful product outcomes.
Experience conducting and synthesising user research using appropriate qualitative and quantitative methods.
Confidence designing complex workflows, information architecture, and interactions.
Ability to work through ambiguity and help teams move from uncertainty to clarity.
Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to influence without authority.
Experience working within a design system and applying patterns pragmatically to support delivery.
Proficiency in interaction design, information architecture, prototyping, and testing methodologies.
Comfort working autonomously in an evolving environment.
