St Vincent's Health Australia

Senior Procurement Analyst

NSW - Sydney, CBD, Inner West and Eastern Suburbs Full time

Job Description:

Better and fairer care.  Always.

St Vincent's has been a leader in Australia's health and aged care landscape for more than 165 years. Since our founders, the Sisters of Charity, opened our first hospital in 1857, our services and nearly 30,000 people have been behind some of Australia's most important medical breakthroughs. We are a microcosm of Australia’s health and aged care system and are uniquely positioned to lead and respond to our rapidly changing environment.

We are looking for a special kind of person - a St Vincent’s kind of person. Someone who puts excellence, compassion, connection and caring for other people at the heart of everything they do.

Reporting directly to the General Manager of Procurement, the Senior Procurement Analyst is responsible for providing expert-level design, implementation, and maintenance of procurement analytics across our public, private, and residential aged care markets. You will build the overall capability of analytics within the Group Procurement function, delivering a single source of truth for spend insights, benefits realisation, and optimisation opportunities that drive financial outcomes and continuous improvement across St Vincent’s.

This is a Permanent Full-Time position based in any of our Group Head Offices in Sydney, Brisbane, or Melbourne on a hybrid working arrangement

Key responsibilities of the role:

  • Lead the design and evolution of an enterprise-wide spend cube that serves as the single source of truth for clinical and non-clinical spend across St Vincent’s
  • Utilise advanced analytics and Power BI to automate benefits tracking, identifying cost-saving opportunities and mitigating risks before they impact the business
  • Partner with Group Procurement to deliver high-impact financial insights that shape departmental budgets and strategic outcomes
  • Collaborate with Digital & Technology teams to integrate diverse data sources, ensuring our procurement function remains agile and decision-ready
  • Act as a key technical consultant during major tenders, designing robust quantitative tools and pricing structures that ensure St Vincent's partners with the best in the industry

Things that work for us:

  • Proven track record of leading procurement or financial analytics within complex, matrixed environments
  • An expert in Power BI and SQL, with the ability to query large datasets and transform them into modern, automated dashboards
  • The ability to translate complex numbers into compelling, decision-ready narratives for senior executives
  • Excel at navigating stakeholder relationships, building consensus, and motivating teams to embrace data-driven cultures
  • A tertiary qualification in Commerce, Finance, Business, Data Science, or a related discipline

Things that work for you:

  • Your work directly influences the efficiency of a leading healthcare provider, ensuring more resources go toward exceptional patient and resident care
  • Enjoy a genuine balance with a hybrid model based out of our modern offices in Sydney, Brisbane, or Melbourne
  • Competitive salary packaging options
  • Discounted private health insurance
  • Employee Assistance Program for staff and their families
  • Access to the Fitness Passport (FP)

At St Vincent’s we value inclusivity and diversity and acknowledge the importance of creating a work environment that is welcoming, safe, fair and impartial and invites people from all backgrounds to join us.
