The Supplier Performance Management Team supporting the Mission Systems sector is looking for an energetic individual to join our team. This individual will work in a dynamic environment, developing and implementing sector quality plans and procedures using statistical quality control techniques, lean manufacturing concepts, and six-sigma analyses tools. Responsible for supplier quality risk management – implementing proactive supplier performance management strategy. They will interface with program quality, supplier quality, manufacturing, engineering, customer, and vendor representatives to ensure all requirements are met. They will conduct product and process verification activities, monitor supplier quality performance, and drives root cause corrective action (RCCA) for supplier quality issues. This position can be remote.
Responsibilities include:
Responsible for supplier quality risk management – implementing proactive supplier performance management strategy.
Develops and implements supplier quality evaluation and control systems.
Assures supplier process and product quality, including contractual, regulatory, and technical compliance. Support audits with internal and external stakeholders
Interfaces directly with supplier personnel and must be knowledgeable in and capable of assessing supplier manufacturing processes and procedures.
Conducts product and process verification activities, monitors supplier quality performance, and drives root cause corrective action (RCCA) for supplier quality issues.
Supports the maintenance of the approved supplier list and periodically reviews performance to determine whether suppliers should remain on the approved list.
Manages supplier requests for waivers, deviations, and requirement changes.
Keeps management apprised of supplier performance, quality status, and risks.
Coordinates and oversees Supplier Quality plan implementation through all program phases.
Manages implementation of Supplier Quality processes, including supplier approval activities, source selection evaluations, supplier classification designation (Critical, Strategic, and Transactional), development and execution of supplier quality risk assessments and mitigation plans, and supplier quality requirements development and flow-downs.
Prepares, maintains and reviews procurement quality assurance procedures to assure compliance with customer and/or government requirements.
Assures that customer quality-imposed technical requirements are adhered to by supplier and that a quality system is maintained.
Reports on supplier performance to site stakeholders through recurring Material Corrective Action Board (MATCAB) meetings
Fosters a collaborative culture that sustains momentum around engagement, problem solving, and continuous improvement.
Serves as a strong voice for ‘Quality’ and a role model for NG Values
Basic Qualifications for the Senior Principal level:
Bachelors degree and a minimum of 8 years of experience in quality, manufacturing, or supply chain; masters degree and a minimum of 6 years of experience in quality, manufacturing or supply chain
US Citizenship required
Experience with Root Cause analysis and Corrective Action activities
Ability to obtain a Secret Clearance
Preferred Qualifications for the Senior Principal level:
Experience with AS9100/ISO9001 Quality Management
Experience in leading in Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) investigations
Experience participating in cross-site and cross-functional continuous improvement projects
Advanced SAP experience
Experience with data analysis techniques
Primary Level Salary Range: $117,500.00 - $176,300.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
