Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems is looking to add a Senior Principal Risk Management Analyst - NATO Risk and Staffing Lead to join our team in Rancho Bernardo, CA. This position will be in our Avionics Integration Organization supporting NATO AGS Program.

Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Collect ETC from Mission Systems Sub-IPT lead/CAMs, organize staffing projections for a team of 50+ engineers (consisting of networks, comms, payloads, subsystems, ground segment and HW/SW engineers) across 10 projects
  • Perform weekly ETC checks across all projects, verifying name-run outputs and month end projections are accurate with the IPT Leads and recommend corrections.
  • Report staffing projections to GH MS IPT Lead and coordinate movement of staffing to meet surge needs with other Global Hawk programs
  • Drive creation, execution and completion of Risks, Issues and Opportunities and coordinate with schedulers to ensure mitigation steps are added to the IMSs of the various projects.
  • Support the IPT leads with actuals collection for BOE development and long-term strategy
  • Serve as a Cost Account Management (CAM) and present to senior-level management on cost, schedule and technical risks and issues as DOA for IPT leads
  • The selected candidate should thrive working in a fast-paced work environment with high expectations within a collaborative/team setting across all levels of the organization.

Once in role, this position could offer a hybrid work environment. Scheduled telework days are approved at manager's discretion.

Basic Qualifications lower level:

Bachelor of Science Degree and 8 years of related engineering or business management/analytics experience; OR a Master of Science degree and 6 years of related engineering or business management experience; OR a PhD with 4 years of related engineering or business management experience.

  • Active in-scope, DoD Secret clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Top Secret clearance once in position.
  • Previous Cost Account Management & EVMS duties and responsibilities.
  • Risk/Opportunity/Issue management experience related to complex hardware and software subsystems
  • Experience with integration type programs.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Active in-scope, DoD Top Secret clearance.
  • Experience leading an engineering team or project
  • Experience with complex issue resolution with internal and external stakeholders
  • Experience with Global Hawk, NATO or Triton Engineering Experience

Primary Level Salary Range: $117,500.00 - $176,300.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
