About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Quality Assurance Lead to oversee and drive quality assurance strategy, governance, and execution across a large-scale, complex transformation program. This role is critical in ensuring that all program deliverables — including technology, processes, data, and integrations — meet the highest standards of quality, compliance, and business readiness.
The QA Lead will work closely with program leadership, workstream leads, delivery teams, and key stakeholders to embed quality throughout the transformation lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
QA Strategy & Governance
- Define and implement a comprehensive QA strategy and quality management framework tailored to the transformation program's scope and complexity.
- Establish QA governance structures, including quality gates, entry/exit criteria, and escalation procedures across all program phases.
- Develop and maintain the overall QA Plan, Test Strategy, and Defect Management Plan.
- Ensure alignment of QA activities with program milestones, release schedules, and go-live readiness criteria.
Test Planning & Execution Oversight
- Lead the planning, design, and execution of all testing phases, including:
- System Integration Testing (SIT)
- User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
- Regression Testing
- Performance & Load Testing
- Security Testing
- Data Migration/Validation Testing
- End-to-End (E2E) Testing
- Oversee the creation and maintenance of test cases, test scripts, test data, and traceability matrices.
- Coordinate testing activities across multiple workstreams, vendors, and third-party systems.
Defect & Risk Management
- Establish and manage the defect lifecycle, including classification, prioritization, tracking, and resolution workflows.
- Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate quality risks across the program.
- Provide regular defect analysis and quality metrics reporting to program leadership and steering committees.
Team Leadership & Stakeholder Management
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of QA analysts, test engineers, and automation specialists.
- Collaborate with Business Analysts, Solution Architects, Developers, Change Managers, and Business SMEs to ensure comprehensive test coverage.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all QA-related matters, providing clear and transparent communication to stakeholders at all levels.
- Facilitate test readiness reviews, defect triage sessions, and go/no-go assessments.
Tools, Automation & Continuous Improvement
- Select, implement, and manage appropriate QA and test management tools (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps, Selenium, Playwright, etc.).
- Drive test automation initiatives where applicable to improve efficiency and coverage.
- Champion a culture of continuous improvement, incorporating lessons learned and industry best practices into QA processes.
Compliance & Reporting
- Ensure all QA activities comply with relevant regulatory, industry, and organizational standards.
- Produce comprehensive QA dashboards, status reports, and executive summaries.
- Support audit and assurance activities by maintaining thorough documentation and evidence of testing outcomes.
Required Qualifications
Experience | 20+ years of experience in Quality Assurance, with at least 8 years in a role on large-scale transformation programs.
Domain Knowledge | Experience in complex, multi-workstream programs involving Oracle ERP, Oracle Fusion, Salesforce CRM, cloud migration, digital transformation, or enterprise platform implementations.
Testing Expertise | Deep expertise across all testing types (functional, non-functional, integration, regression, UAT, performance, security, data migration)
Tools | Proficiency with test management and defect tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps, Selenium, Playwright, etc.)
Methodologies | Strong understanding of Agile, Waterfall, and Hybrid delivery methodologies.
Communication | Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage both technical teams and executive stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certifications such as ISTQB Advanced/Expert Level, Certified Agile Tester (CAT), PMP, or PRINCE2.
- Experience with test automation frameworks and CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience in regulated industries (e.g., financial services, healthcare, government, utilities).
- Familiarity with data quality frameworks and data migration testing methodologies.
- Experience managing vendor/third-party QA teams in an outsourced or hybrid delivery model
