What you'll be doing:
Leading the technical development of large scale and complex energy infrastructure projects during early project phases (typically up to RIBA 2), with responsibility for all aspects of technical optioneering, project management and customer / stakeholder engagement.
Providing essential technical governance by identifying, reviewing and mitigating all project risks, and leading governance reviews to the Technical Director
Leading the scoping and negotiation of project development agreements, and developing high level Capex and Opex estimates with support from Veolia teams
Planning, managing and monitoring projects to ensure they are progressing and completed on time, within budget, and to agreed specification and standard
Coordinating activities from all internal stakeholders (technical experts, business development, operations, legal, finance, planning) and external stakeholders (client, specialist consultants, contractors, suppliers, funders, and public authorities.
Leading techno-economic assessment with support from energy modelling engineers and advising the business on project commercialisation strategy
What we're looking for:
Leadership of Major Energy Projects Development at early stage (75m+)
Experience of project development and project management in the context of engineering and construction projects, within in the energy/utility sector
Energy engineering knowledge to expert level
Degree level qualification in either a relevant engineering, construction or commercial discipline
Advanced skills in Utility Engineering, Project Management, Business Acumen, Financial Management, and Informed Decision Making
Capability to sustain high level technical conversations on all aspects of energy projects (mechanical, electrical, controls, utilities networks) and engage with specialists as required
