Do you want to work in a company that develops systems to help keep people and society safe?
You will join a team dedicated to innovation and excellence, where your contributions will directly impact the safety and success of mission-critical operations.
Saab Danmark is a global leader in delivering complex communication systems for both military and civilian customers. As the demand for secure, seamless communication across multiple technologies grows, TactiCall stands out by integrating various communication platforms to meet operational and cyber security requirements in mission-critical environments.
Your role
As part of our team, you will be responsible for building, maintaining, and improving the shared platform capabilities that support TactiCall ICS, TactiCall VCS, and TactiGuardXD.
You will help create the common foundation, define and implement the golden-paths that product teams depend on to deliver, deploy, secure, observe, and manage their solutions consistently and efficiently.
Depending on your background, you will work deeply in one or more platform domains such as container runtime, CI/CD, endpoint management, observability and alerting, PKI, IAM, and deployment automation.
The role is cross-functional and hands-on.
You will work with project and product teams, architects, security, infrastructure, and service delivery to turn recurring engineering needs into reusable platform capabilities.
Your profile
We are looking for senior engineers who can take technical ownership of shared platform capabilities and drive them from design to implementation and long-term maintenance.
You may come from platform engineering, DevOps, SRE, infrastructure software, or backend software engineering - but you must be comfortable building internal tooling, automating operational work, and owning technical solutions that other teams depend on.
Our work falls into two main areas:
CI/CD and engineering enablement - pipelines, build environments, release flows, and maintenance of shared delivery tooling.
Platform capabilities - reusable software and services for deployment, observability, endpoint operations, identity, trust, and lifecycle management.
Most engineers have a primary focus area, but we expect everyone to collaborate across the platform where needed.
You think in terms of reuse, standardization, and lifecycle ownership. You can identify repeated problems across teams and turn them into maintainable platform solutions instead of one-off fixes.
You can work across teams, align technical direction with stakeholders, and move platform improvements from idea to working solution.
If you are ready to make a difference and work on solutions that matter, we would love to hear from you!
Key qualifications
Must-have
B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent professional experience.
Several years of hands-on experience in platform engineering, DevOps, SRE, infrastructure software, or backend engineering with clear operational ownership.
Strong Linux skills and confidence working close to the OS, automation, deployment tooling, and system integration.
Solid scripting or software development skills in at least one relevant language.
Experience designing or maintaining shared technical capabilities used by multiple teams.
Ability to make technical trade-offs and drive work independently in a complex engineering environment.
Relevant experience in one or more of these areas
CI/CD platforms and build pipelines
Container runtime platforms
Observability, monitoring, and alerting
Endpoint management
PKI and certificate handling
IAM and access control
Automation and configuration management
Deployment tooling and lifecycle management
Nice to have
Experience from defence, security-sensitive, regulated, or mission-critical environments
Experience working across product teams and internal platform consumers
