An exciting opportunity has arisen in the Aero Procurement Team for a Senior P&C Manager in the Integrators, Fasteners and Pipes Supplier Management Team in Derby.  This is a Senior Leadership and Delivery role reporting to the Senior Supply Chain Manager.

The Senior Planning and Control Manager is the lead Planning and Control interface with Incora and the other FCUK3 supply chain. The role leads the governance on all workstreams between Rolls Royce and the Incora infrastructure and ensures demand and supply are managed to support A&T, Aftermarket and the RR Make Plants. This role operates across the full Incora UK portfolio.

What you will be doing:

As Senior P&C Manager, you will be accountable for driving an integrated Planning & Control functional plan across the business units which will include leading all Planning & Control activities for various Finished Component Suppliers including Incora and others. This can include demand cascade, inventory planning, resource planning; rates through gates, work in progress and delivery control; understanding lead time and losses and driving improvement to deliver for our customers.

  • Either interfacing with Incora or other suppliers to leading the Production & Control activities, you will ensure demand and capacity balance across all four business units within Large Engines to ensure customer on time delivery and drive the business delivery plans and governance to ensure launch & output plans are robust and met.
  • Work with the Master Scheduler to ensure the factory industrial constraints are accounted for in SORB planning in term of rate and product mix in order to inform the supply chain demand cascade.
  • Lead the P&C business processes on confirming launch/WIP control, rates through gates, enablers/risks contributing to the Weekly Operations Review.
  • Within the S&OP process you will consider short term (output robustness / brick adherence plans), medium term (monthly/quarterly performance) and long term (strategic growth, NPI and rate increase). .
  • Lead the preparation, interpretation and scenario modelling of the Large Engines S&OP plan for evaluation by the relevant Business team.
  • This includes evaluating the customer rate readiness, key risks, inventory modelling and any impact on key factory performance metrics (including standard hours and productivity).
  • Working together with the customer team to support information sharing and working together with Airbus and Boeing through regular governance with on-site teams.
  • Develop, coach and lead the Planning & Control team members ensuring positive engagement, improvement and professional delivery of responsibilities. Provide direct line management of a team of Planning & Control Managers deployed into each of the four business areas.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Membership of an appropriate institution regarding planning (e.g. APICs or equivalent qualifications)

  • Collaboration and relationship building is absolutely essential to success in the role. 
  • Robust knowledge of Planning & Control, SAP and/or MRP Relevant experience within planning, manufacturing, or supply chain
  • The ability to communicate to all levels, including internal and external stakeholders.
